The COVID-19 pandemic has presented a series of unprecedented challenges for our community as well as other communities across the world. Since the COVID-19 health emergency was declared in March, the priority of City of South El Monte officials has been the health and safety of residents, employees, and visitors; and supporting our local businesses as they weather shutdowns and other impacts.
MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Stay House L.A. County is an online resource for LA County tenants facing eviction during the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis. Tenants who receive a notice or unlawful detainer are urged to seek legal aid immediately.

Tenants can visit www.stayhousedla.org to attend an online education workshops and connect legal services provider including the Housing Rights Center (HRC), Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, Public Counsel, Inner City Law Center, and more.
Members collaborate to provide the residents of Los Angeles County with information and resources.
The resources on the website are available in English and Spanish.
For the duration of the COVID-19 state of emergency, HRC will continue to offer virtual services to tenants and landlords, including virtual counseling and fair housing workshop.
