SOUTH EL MONTE CITY HALL TO RE-OPEN TO THE PUBLIC STARTING JUNE 15 The City of South El Monte will re-open City Hall to the public on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 with safety precautions and COVID-19 protocols in place. City Hall will operate its normal hours 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and will be closed on major holidays. Please be advised that City Hall hours and operations are subject to change due to the pandemic and health guidelines. Members of the public are required to wear face coverings and maintain social distance from members of other households while visiting City Hall. Additionally, there will be limits on maximum occupancy. The City requests that if you are sick or have any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, or shortness of breath) to not visit City Hall. While all City operations remained active, City Hall was only open to the public by appointment since November 23, 2020 as part of the City’s efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and protect the community and City staff.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is now permitting residential yard sales! Yard sales must comply with the protocols for informal social gatherings, which includes limiting attendance and duration of the event, and attendees must follow all safety measures. To view the guidance for informal social gatherings, visit www.publichealth.lacounty.gov. All residents in the City of South El Monte may obtain a FREE yard sale permit.
