Real holiday trees will be collected curbside by Athens Services. The collection period will begin on the day after Christmas through the second week of January on your normal pick-up day.

DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS

• Remove all stands, lights, ornaments, tree skirts, and tinsel.

• If your tree is more than six feet in length, please cut it in half.

• If you miss the collection period, please cut up your tree and place it in your green waste cart.

NOTE: Artificial trees, flocked trees, and trees coated with fire retardant are NOT recyclable or compostable; they will be treated as trash.
