Old Town is the historic heart of San Diego. Created in 1769, Old Town San Diego was California’s first settlement with only a mission and a fort. Wander through lush gardens or browse at one of the many specialty shops for treasures from around the world. Indulge in authentic Mexican food at one of the many restaurants or dance to the strolling mariachis. Pause to reflect at the fountains at Fiesta de Reyes and in the Bazaar del Mundo and visit some of the dozens of historic sites. Year round, Old Town is the place for food, folklore, and fun. Come with us to visit Old Town, celebrate San Diego’s heritage, and bask in early California ambiance.

The Mission Valley River Trail is a great way to get a little exercise while enjoying the wildlife that exists right in the middle of San Diego. Along the path you will learn about some of the plants native to the area, such as rushes, mule fat, sycamore trees, and coast live oaks. There is also an overlook for observing the river wildlife. After our tour we will stop for lunch at your choice of restaurants in the area. You may also bring your own lunch to enjoy.

In partnership with the City of Santee, the Cameron Family YMCA operates an aquatics center that’s open to the general public as well as YMCA members. The center features a 25 meter-by-25-yard swimming pool, an activity pool with play structure, a water slide and water exercise area and locker rooms. Group, private swim lessons and swim team are offered year round.

Students will learn how to play through chord charts, read music, use scales for improvisation, perform both a solo piece as well as an ensemble piece, and will be prepared for private lessons.

Note reading, scales, music theory, and piano technique will be taught. Students will learn how to play written sheet music and gain an understanding of musical concepts. Great for beginning piano students as well as students studying other instruments and will prepare them for the intermediate piano class.

Come visit Santee’s 107-acre Walker Preserve along the San Diego River. Chances are you’ll see a variety of birds and other wildlife along this unpaved, 14-foot-wide trail. I understand and acknowledge that participating in boating presents the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to those caused by terrain, facilities, equipment, water temperature, weather, lack of hydration, other boat traffic, and the actions of others, including, but not limited to padre dam workers, other boaters, spectators, and volunteers. I understand and acknowledge that my injuries, death or property loss are solely my responsibility and not the responsibility of padre dam municipal water district. I understand that i am assuming all risks associated with boating at santee lakes recreational preserve. I acknowledge that this form will be used by padre dam municipal water district and that it will govern my actions and my responsibilities. In consideration and participation of this event, i hereby waive, release, and discharge from any and all liability for the death, disability, or personal injury to me, the district, its directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents. I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless, the entities mentioned in this paragraph from any liabilities or claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of my actions while participating in sporting events.
