Together, we are building a brighter future for our community.
The foundation is led by a dedicated Board of Directors composed of business and community leaders who recognize the vital role that excellent public schools play in Sanger’s success. With their guidance, we work to ensure that Sanger ISD remains one of the top public school districts in Texas.
Dear Sanger Education Foundation Supporters,
I hope this message finds you enjoying the joy and warmth of the holiday season. As we all embrace the festive sights and sounds of Christmas while looking ahead to the new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible work we ’ ve accomplished together. For myself and the Foundation, it is truly a blessing to collaborate with each of you as we strive to expand learning opportunities and enhance academic success for the students of Sanger ISD
Whether you volunteer your time, contribute financially, or simply advocate for our mission, you are the heartbeat that powers the unique and sustainable programs available to our students On behalf of the many lives you touch, THANK YOU!
This year brought remarkable growth and enrichment to our student programs, alongside an exciting expansion of our team with the addition of a part-time Executive Assistant, Shayna Elliott. Shayna’s efforts will be instrumental in supporting our mission of recognizing and fostering student success while strengthening the programs that mean so much to all of us.
Through endowed scholarship funds and our newly created Giving Benefits Annual Program, we proudly awarded 22 Student Scholarships this year. Additionally, we expanded supplemental funding for Career and Technical Certification Programs, empowering students with skills for the future. Ten exceptional Instructional Classroom Grants were also awarded, ranging from additional elementary library books to advancing the new Automotive Program at Sanger High School.
Our students remain the why behind everything we do, but you are the how. Your support fuels their dreams and makes these programs possible. As we look to 2025, we ’ re excited about the promise of new, meaningful, and far-reaching partnerships that will impact our students long after graduation. As you consider your year-end giving, please remember the Sanger Education Foundation. Together, we can achieve even greater things for our students For more details on how to support the Foundation, please visit our website at www sangereducationfoundation org
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our mission Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year!

Gary Bilyeu
SEF PRESIDENT
As 2024 draws to a close, so does my time on the Board of the Sanger Education Foundation. It has been an incredible honor to lead this organization over the past three years. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity and will forever cherish the experience of working alongside such a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Their passion and hard work have been nothing short of inspiring.
I am also pleased to report that the Foundation remains financially strong and steadfast in its mission to support the educational needs of Sanger ISD. This year, we received more than $342,000 in donations, with nearly $100,000 coming from Donor Directed Programs and new endowments. These generous contributions provide a perpetual source of funding for education, one of the Foundation’s primary goals. Because of this overwhelming support, the Foundation was able to award nearly $115,000 in Student Scholarships and various programs, including Student Enrichment, Staff Development, Student Lead Partnerships and District-wide Enrichment It has truly been an exceptional year for both giving and receiving
Our success would not be possible without the tireless efforts of the Foundation staff and our incredible volunteers. Valerie Foster, our Executive Director since the Foundation’s inception, deserves immense credit for leading us to where we are today. However, the heart of this organization lies with the countless volunteers from the Board of Directors to committee members and supporters who selflessly dedicate their time and energy to our mission. Serving alongside these passionate individuals has been one of the greatest joys of my time here.
To our donors: thank you. Your generosity and commitment are the driving force behind everything we do. The Foundation would not exist without your support. Because of you, we ’ ve been able to make a meaningful and lasting impact on education in Sanger. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Foundation staff, and our entire volunteer team, thank you for helping us change lives.
Sincerely,
Gary Bilyeu

"I would like to nominate Elizabeth Chapmond for the Outstanding Above and Beyond Educator Award. She is an amazing educator who goes above and beyond for her students.
Mrs. Chapmond makes learning fun and engaging for all students by transforming the classroom into a fun learning experience. Just recently, in her 3rd-grade classroom, she organized a unique activity where students learned about writing in a surgery center. Providing them with doctor badges, lab coats, and clipboards, she made learning about combining sentences and conjunctions a fun experience!
When she is not transforming the room into a unique experience, she is making up a fun song to help the students learn about characters, setting, author's purpose, or other things they are learning in class. Mrs. Chapmond not only teaches the students about plays, but takes them to the stage to act them out and really grasp the concepts. She is always thinking about fun ways to engage and educate the students.
Our family has been blessed by her. All five of my children have had her as an educator and supporter. In addition to her innovative teaching methods, Mrs Chapmond showed exceptional kindness and support during a challenging time for my family.
Mrs. Chapmond is a fantastic teacher who ensures all her students succeed, both academically and emotionally. She embodies the spirit of going above and beyond and truly deserves this recognition. Sanger ISD is so blessed to have her, and she is one reason Butterfield Elementary is the BEST!"
