Budget & Finance Awards

THE CITY OF SANFORD’S Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) has won the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) award for 40 consecutive years. For the last 35 consecutive years, the City has received the GFOA award for Distinguished Budget Presentation.

To earn these awards, the City must produce an easily readable and efficiently organized budget and ACFR whose contents conform to program standards. Such reports must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and accepted legal requirements.

The Popular Annual Financial Report has received the award for Outstanding Achievement for 6 consecutive years.
