Cultural Programs in Salisbury With such a diverse community of 130,000 residents from more than 50 cultural backgrounds, the City of Salisbury prides itself on its extensive multicultural programs and initiatives. Aimed at new arrivals to Salisbury as well as established residents, Council has a range of initiatives that bring the community together to support them and provide them with opportunities to integrate with their neighbours, to learn new skills and to develop social connections. Programs vary from sporting activities such as Midnight Basketball and Aboriginal Tennis Programs to learning support, social groups and events such as NAIDOC Week, Reconciliation Week and Northern Lights Festival.

Kaurna Heritage Marker Public Artwork In 2012 the City of Salisbury commissioned South Australian artist team Marijana Tadic and Alexis West to construct a Kaurna Heritage Marker located at the Greenfields Wetands, Salisbury Highway.
The recently completed artwork entitled ‘Together Woven’ will be launched as part of the Council’s 2013 Reconciliation Week celebrations on Thursday 23 May 2013 at 3.30pm at the site near to the Watershed Café on Salisbury Highway, Greenfields Wetlands.
