WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES
The City of Paramount is encouraging residents to cut back on outside water usage while the State of California suffers through extreme drought conditions.
During the summer, you can water your lawn and landscaping on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday only.
From November through March, you can water these areas on Monday and Thursday only.
You can water on any day if you use a hand-held hose with a water shut-off device or a hand-held container, as long as there is no water run-off.
You can water on any day if you use a very low-flow drip irrigation system.
No water run-off from lawns and landscaping.
No hosing down paved surfaces.
All water fountains or other decorative water features must use re-circulating water.
All leaks, breaks, or other malfunctions in plumbing or irrigation systems must be fixed within 72 hours of observation and/or notification by the City.
Use a hand-held hose with a water shut-off nozzle or hand-held bucket when washing cars.
PLEASE NOTE:
▪These measures are directed at outdoor water use.
▪Violations can result in fines.
▪Measures do not apply to “reclaimed” water, which City parks and landscaped medians use.
▪All decorative water fountains operated by the City use re-circulating water.

MEDIDAS DE CONSERVACIÓN DE AGUA
La Ciudad de Paramount está pidiendo a los residentes que reduzcan el uso de agua para regar ó limpiar afuera mientras el Estado de California sufre en esta sequía extrema.
Durante el verano se puede regar el pasto y las plantas el lunes, jueves, y sábado solamente.
De noviembre a marzo, solamente se podrá regar estas áreas el lunes y jueves.
Se puede regar cualquier día a mano, con un recipiente ó con una manguera que tenga dispositivo de cierre automático, mientras no escurra el agua fuera del área de riego.
Se puede regar cualquier día si se usa un sistema de riego por goteo muy lento.
No escurrimiento excesivo de agua fuera del área de riego.
No se puede usar agua para lavar las superficies sólidas ó pavimentadas.
Todas las fuentes ó aparatos decorativos que usen agua deben usar agua recirculada.
Cualquier fuga ó linea rota de plomería ó riego debe repararse dentro de un periodo de 72 horas después de ser observada y/o de recibir aviso de la Ciudad.
Cuando lave su carro use mangueras con boquillas de cierre automático, ó una cubeta ó recipiente similar.
POR FAVOR TOME EN CUENTA:
▪Estas medidas están dirigidas al uso de agua para regar ó limpiar afuera.
▪Las infracciones pueden resultar en multas.
▪Estas medidas no aplican al agua “reciclada” que usa la ciudad para los parques y áreas verdes.
▪Las fuentes de agua decorativas operadas por la ciudad usan agua recirculada.
