En el transcurso de este año se pondrán a la venta varias casas nuevas en Paramount. Estas propiedades estarán localizadas en diversas áreas de Paramount, y estarán disponibles a precios bajos para compradores que cumplan ciertos requisitos. Las ventas se llevarán a cabo siguiendo el orden en el que los documentos apropiados sean recibidos, otorgándose prioridad a los residentes de Paramount.
Como parte de los requisitos para ser considerado, esta propiedad deberá ser la primera casa que usted compre y sus ingresos tendrán que estar dentro de cierto margen. Para poner su nombre en la lista de prioridad, favor de presentarse en persona el sábado, 12 de marzo del 2011 en el Centro Comunitario de Paramount (Paramount Community Center) en el 14400 Paramount Boulevard entre las 8 a.m. y el mediodía. Several new, affordable single-family homes in Paramount will be available for sale to qualified buyers within the next year. The homes will be in various locations throughout the City and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with Paramount residents receiving priority status.
To qualify, you must be a first-time home buyer and your income must fall within certain ranges. To place your name on a priority list, you must appear in person on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Paramount Community Center, 14400 Paramount Blvd. from 8 a.m. to noon. College Scholarships
Adult CPR Training
The Greater Long Beach Chapter of the American Red Cross will be offering Adult CPR/First Aid training at a reduced price in Paramount at Progress Park Plaza.
This CPR training teaches participants how to respond to victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Participants gain the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for cardiac episodes in emergency situations until advanced medical personnel arrive. The Red Cross CPR certification is valid for one year.
The training will take place Saturday, March 12, 2011. There will be two sessions, from 8:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fee each session is $10. Progress Park Plaza is located at 15500 Downey Ave., Paramount.
You need to register for the training at the Paramount Sheriff's Station, 15001 Paramount Blvd. Registration goes until March 8. There is no on-site registration the day of the training, and space is limited. For more information please call (562) 220-2002.
The Paramount Education Partnership (PEP) Scholarship Program awards scholarships each year with the goal of making education beyond high school financially accessible.
