A Joyous Holiday Season
It was another happy holiday season in Paramount with the usual round of sparkling events for residents and visitors. It all began with the annual tree lighting ceremony, which brought thousands to The Pond for entertainment and the dramatic and colorful main event.
The Christmas Train continued its almost 40-year trek through town. Over the four nights, Santa heard the secret wishes of tens of thousands of kids. Everybody got the traditional apple and candy cane, as every neighborhood in Paramount was covered.
Then, on Saturday in Paramount Park, Santa returned to town, bringing with him over a ton of snow. Almost 5,000 breakfasts were sold and plenty of tobogganing and snowball making ensued at the yearly funfest.
