Need Career Help? Visit the Paramount SASSFA WorkSource Center
The Paramount SASSFA WorkSource Center is a free employment and training center that helps low-income and out-of-work residents find jobs. It also offers free services to the City’s youth.
Businesses also benefit by using SASSFA for recruiting, screening and hiring employees.
Stop by on Mondays at 10:00 a.m. or Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m., when the WorkSource Center holds orientation sessions to describe everything that it offers.
Job seekers have access to a full computer lab, the internet and help with their resumes. They can use fax machines, phones and copiers, and attend workshops, get job leads and conduct job searches.
Extensive individual career counseling is also available, which can match your skill sets with an occupation. This service is for enrolled clients who met eligibility criteria. You can learn how to qualify at the orientation.
The free services for Paramount youth, ages 16-21, include tutoring, college preparation, paid work experience, internet and computer lab, along with job readiness and leadership workshops.
