PARAMOUNT ON THE INTERNET

Spring is here and the nomination period for this year’s Paramount Pride has begun. The City's annual program will once again recognize property owners in town who add to our quality of life by maintaining their homes in a pleasing, attractive way.

If you aware of such a house (including your own), feel free to nominate it. All we need is the address. The nominees will be judged by real estate/design professionals, who will choose this year’s honorees.

Nominations can be made by calling City Hall at (562) 220-2027 or by sending an email through a link on the City’s website homepage at www.paramountcity.com. Again, all you need to provide is the home’s address.

The deadline for nominations is May 9th and the winners will be recognized at the June 3rd City Council meeting.

There is a link on the City’s homepage, paramountcity.com, that takes you to the channel. Or you can go directly to

The Paramount Education Partnership (PEP) is a collaboration between the City, the Paramount Unified School District, and the Paramount Chamber of Commerce to increase educational attainment among residents as a way to raise economic potential and, consequently, quality of life.

Some of PEP’s major undertakings include its college scholarships, which have provided over $500,000 for local students, and the Paramount Petroleum Community Learning Resource Center at Spane Park, which offers tutoring, computer/internet access, and other classes.

Now you can “like” PEP on Facebook. Go to facebook.com/ParamountPEP and become a part of this exciting endeavor in town.
