2020 Community Programs

To the left is OPD Captain Jeff Mundale who met with the local Webelos Pack 354 at the Law Enforcement Center to teach about public service, safety, local ordinances, leadership, character skills, and how to be an e nga ge d community steward. The fun visit ended with a station and a police car tour.

Officer Matt Oeltjenbruns and McGruff the Crime Dog visited the Good Shephard Lutheran Church preschool classes. Officer Oeltjenbruns spoke to the kids about what duties make up his day as an Owatonna Police Officer. Samantha Hiller and the Sunshine Club partnered with Owatonna Police Chief Hiller (her dad!) and Andi Arnold at the Steele County Safe and Drug Free Coalition. The goal—fill kids with joy and happiness! Over 100 gifts were dropped off at Trinity Lutheran Church for Toys for Tots. The event helped support many families during the holiday season.
