Forfeitures
The definition of a forfeiture is the loss or giving up of something as a penalty for wrongdoing. Minnesota laws allow property associated with certain criminal offenses to be forfeited. This can be done judicially or administratively. The most common criminal activities that led to seizure, forfeiture and final disposition of property in 2018 were DWI related incidents and controlled substance.
