Our roots go back well over 150 years when the city was founded by cottonfarmers,ranchers,andlaterthearrivaloftherailroads.

Navasota boasts a live community theatre, numerous city-owned parks for outdoor recreation, golfing at Pecan Lakes Golf Course, downtown shopping and City Hall Plaza, live music venues, and a variety of dining options Navasota was awarded the Train Town USA designation by Union Pacific Railroad and is certified by the Texas DepartmentofAgricultureasaGOTEXANCertifiedRetirementCommunity.

Public Works oversees the collection and disposal of solid waste through an agreement between the City of Navasota and our contractor, Republic Services, Inc.
