MustangParksandRecreationstrivestoprovidean environmentthatisconducivetosaferecreationand enjoymentforallguestsutilizingthefacility.Allvisitorsare expectedtobehaveinamannerthatrespectstherightsof others,sothateveryonemayuseandenjoythesefacilities, programs,andservices.
TheMustangRecreationCenteroperatesforthebenefitofthe CityofMustangcitizensandcommunityguests.Guestsare expectedtojointheMustangParksandRecreationteam membersinpromotingapleasantrecreationalenvironment. Guestsareaskedtousematurejudgmentinchoosingactions, clothing,andlanguageandtobesensitivetothemessage thesechoicesdelivertootherguests.
Guestsshoulddisplaygoodsportsmanshipsothat participationinallactivitiesisenjoyableandsafe.The behaviorofaguestmustnotdisrupttheexperienceofothers. Allproblemsshouldbereportedimmediatelytothe CoordinatoroftheEventorSupervisoronDuty.

Byusingthefacilitiesandparticipatinginactivitiesandprograms, guestsagreetofollowtheCodeofConductestablishedbythe ParksandRecreationdepartment.Thecodeofconductappliesto allpersonsparticipatinginanyParksandRecreationprograms. Allguestsmustadheretothefollowingexpectations: Treatotherswithdignityandrespect.
Useappropriatelanguage,tone,andvolumewhen communicating.
RespectthepropertyofotherguestsandofMustangParksand Recreation.
Reportissuestoteammembersorprogramleadership.Topof Form
Followallestablishedguidelines,rules,policies,and procedures.
Policiesarepostedonthewebsite,anddistributedtoallguests uponrequest.Violationofrules,malicioususeordefacingof property,solicitation,verbalabuse,orotherbreachesofpolicywill notbetolerated.MustangParksandRecreationstaffreservesthe righttomakediscretionarydecisionsdependingonthe circumstances,whichmayincludesuspensionorrevocationof guest’sprivileges.Specificprogramsandactivitiesinthefacility mayestablishandadministeradditionalprogrampoliciesand guidelines.
UnacceptableBehaviors
Inordertomaintainasafefamilyatmosphere,disciplinemaybe necessarywhenguestsexhibitunacceptableconduct.Some examplesofunacceptablebehaviororviolationsinclude,butare notlimitedto:

Unlawfulactivityandanyother behaviordeemedoffensiveor unacceptable
DisciplinaryProcedures
MustangParksandRecreationreservestherighttotake immediatedisciplinaryaction,includingremovalandexpulsion fromthefacilityfornotfollowingthecodeofconduct.Other issuesmayalsosubjecttheviolatortocriminalprosecutionin additiontoanysanctionsadministeredbyMustangParksand Recreation.
Theguestsmustfollowthedirectionoftheon-dutysupervisor respectfully.
Thesupervisorhastheauthorityandresponsibilitytodirect individualsnotabidingbythepoliciestoleavethefacility. Violationsofthedisciplinaryproceduresmayresultin suspensionorterminationofmembershipandprivileges. Refundsorgiftcertificatearenotavailableforviolationsofthis procedure.

TheMustangParksandRecreationDepartmentusesbrochures, flyers,andothermediatoadvertiseourprogramsandevents.We reservetherighttousephotographs,videorecordings,orimages ofanyoneinanyactivity,program,park,specialevents,orpublic placeinpresentorfuturepublications.
AttendanceatMPRDprogramsandeventsconstitutesconsentto bephotographedforuseinprintorelectronicpublicity.Toensure theprivacyofindividualsandchildren,imageswillnotbe identifiedusingfullnamesorpersonalidentifyinginformation withoutwrittenapprovalfromthephotographedsubject,parent, orlegalguardian.Ifyoudonotwantustouseaphotoofyouor yourchild,pleasetelltheteammembercoordinatingtheevent beforetheprogramoractivity.
Ifyouseeaphotoofyourselforafamilymemberthatyouwishnot tobeused,pleasenotifythesupervisororcoordinatorofevent. Theywilltakereasonablestepstoremoveanddisposeofthe photograph.
SurveillanceSystem
MustangParksandRecreationrecognizestheneedtostrikea balancebetweentheindividual'srighttobefreefrominvasionof privacyandtheinstitution'sdutytopromoteasafeenvironment forallcommunitymembers.
Thepurposeofvideosurveillanceisto:
Promoteasafeenvironmentbydeterringactsofharassment orassault.
Detertheftandvandalismandassistintheidentificationof individualswhocommitdamagetoproperty.
Assistlawenforcementagenciesregardingtheinvestigationof anycrimethatmaybedepicted. Assistindailyoperations.
Signsarepostedattheentrancetoareasundersurveillanceor nearthecamerainformingthepublicoftheuseofvideo surveillance.
Onlydesignatedteammembersandlawenforcementhave accesstoviewingstoredrecordingsmade.Personalinformation containedontherecordingsshallnotbeusedordisclosedfor
purposesotherthanthoseforwhichitwascollected,exceptas requiredbylaw.Thefocusofcamerasusedinvideosurveillance willnotcoverareaswherethereisanexpectationofprivacy.
GuestCameraUse
Guestsuseofanycameras,cellphoneorother,isprohibitedin restrooms.Guestsshouldrefrainfromtakingphotosofother guests.
Dress
Appropriateattireisrequiredtoparticipateinallprogramsand activitiesattheRecreationCenter.Shirtsandshoesmustbeworn inthefacilityatalltimes.Attirewithoffensiveslogans,sayings and/orpicturesarenotallowed.Closed-toed,athleticshoeswith non-markingsolesaretobeworninactivityareasincluding weightandcardioareas,groupfitnessroom,gymnasiumand track.Shirtsmustbeworn.Sportsbrasmustbecoveredwitha shirt.TheRecreationCenterreservestherighttodeterminewhat constitutesappropriateattire.Pleasekeepinmindthatthisisa family-friendlyfacility.
Drugs/TobaccoProducts/Alcohol
TheRecreationCenterisasmoke(tobacco&vapor)free,alcohol free,anddrugfreefacility.Thepossessionand/oruseofthese productsinthefacilityorintheparkisprohibited.Mustangpolice willbecontactedforanypersonusingorsuspectedtobeunder theinfluenceofdrugsoralcohol.
Weapons
Weaponsofalltypesareprohibited,includingguns,andknives.
PersonalItems
Bicycles,skateboard,scooters,hoverboards,androller blades/skates,arenotpermittedinthefacility.Pleaselockyour equipmentatthebikeracklocatedinthefrontofthecenterorin lockers.Donotleaveyourvaluablesunprotected,theCenterisnot responsibleforlostorstolenitems.
Lockers
Lockersareavailableinbothrestroomsandthroughoutthecenter. Locksareavailableatthefrontdeskwhileinthefacility.Monthlyor AnnualPassholdersmayrequestalong-termlockeratthefront desk.Allotherlockersareemptiedeachnightanditemsare placedinlostandfoundforalimitedtime.MustangParksand Recreationreservestherighttocutlocksoffifdeemednecessary. TheRecreationCenterisnotresponsibleforlostorstolenitems.
LostandFound
Alllostandfounditemsarekeptbehindthefrontdesk.Someitems andpersonalclothingarekeptfor7days,andthengivento charity.Cellphones,tablets,billfolds,creditcardsandothersuch itemsarekeptfor30days,ifownercannotbelocated.
CellPhone
WhileintheRecreationCenter,pleaseberespectfulofthose aroundyouwhenusingyourcellphone.Whileusingequipment, pleaserefrainfromusingyourcellphone,asitcanbeunsafeand distractingforothers.Ifyoumustansweryourcellphoneduring groupfitnessclasses,pleasestepoutoftheclass.Guestsshould refrainfromtakingpicturesofotherguestsandchildrenwith camerasorcellphones.
AccidentandEmergencyReporting
PleasereportallaccidentsoremergenciestotheRecreation supervisorimmediately.AllteammembersarecertifiedinCPR, AEDandFirstAid.Severalfirstaidkitsarelocatedthroughoutthe facility,includingintheGroupFitnessroom,CardioareaandFront desk.AnAEDisinthehallacrossfromWeightroom.Team membersmayneedinformationtocompletedocumentationof accidentsorinjuries.Pleaselistenandfollowdirectionsofteam membersandemergencypersonnelinallemergencies.
CancellationsandRefunds
TheMustangParksandRecreationDepartmentoffersavastarray ofhigh-qualityfacilities,programs,andservices.Werecognize thatplansmaychange,makingtransfersandrefundsnecessary
AllrefundsareprocessedthroughtheCityofMustangFinance Department.Acheckwillbesenttothenameandaddresson General Guidelines
GiftCertificatesmaybeissuedinfullamount,minus processingfee,andwillbecreditedtoyouraccounttobeused forpaymentforotherParksandRecreationpurchases. Programsorotherfeesof$10orlessareeligibleforgift certificates,butnotforrefunds. Cashrefundscannotbeprovidedexceptatconcession facilitiesimmediatelyafterpurchase. Requestforcreditsorrefundsshouldbemadethrough manager/coordinatorofprogramsinwritingwithreasonsfor therequest.
Documentationorproofofreasonofrequestmayberequired. Documentation(i.e.,doctor'snote)isrequestedforillnessesor injuryclaims.

Programs,Events,Leagues,andActivities
ProgramCancellations(CancellationbyMustangParksand Recreation):MustangParksandRecreationstrivestoprovide regularprogrammingforallages;however,therearetimes whenitisnecessaryforustorescheduleorcancelprograms. Intheunlikelyeventofaprogramcancellation,informationwill bedistributedthroughindividuale-mails,phonecalls, Facebook,andcitywebsite.
Ifaprogramiscanceled,agiftcertificatewillbeprocessed.Ifa refundispreferred,arequestmustbemadewiththefrontdesk oreventcoordinator.
IfaguestisnotsatisfiedwithaMustangParksandRecreation program,teammemberswillmakeeveryefforttosatisfythe guests.Theguestsmustfirstcontactthecoordinatorofthe programtoassistwithrectifyingthesituation.Iftheguests cannotbesatisfied,theymayrequestagiftcertificateor refund.Sendrequeststothecoordinatoroftheprogramwith receiptandinformationaboutprogramandissue.Each requestwillbereviewedindividually.Theguestswillreceivean emailorphonecallafterreviewed,asquicklyaspossible. Arefundorgiftcertificatewillbegivenforprogramswhena writtenrequestisreceivedtwoweeksbeforethe1stdayofthe registeredsession.Acancellationfeewillbecharged. Norefundsorgiftcertificatewillbegivenforparticipants expelledfromprogramsasaresultofdisciplinaryaction.
GeneralPolicies
GuestsmusthavetheirIDkeycardoralternateID(receipt, wristband)availabletoshowteammemberswhileinthe facility.
Tocheckoutapieceofequipment,theguestsmustleavea passkeycard,orphotoidentification. Theguestsareresponsiblefortheequipmentthathasbeen checkedouttothem.Ifequipmentislost,stolen,ordamaged,a replacementfeewillbecharged.
Personalmusicdevicesareonlyallowedwithheadphones. Glasscontainersofanykindareprohibitedinthefacility. Noanimals(excepttrainedservicesanimals)areallowedin thefacility.Animalsmaynotbeleftunattendedoutside. Foodisallowedindesignatedareasonly.
AllFitnessAreas(WeightRoom, WalkingTrack,CardioArea,and GroupFitnessClassroom)
Childrenunder14arenotpermittedintheFitnessAreasalone. However,sleepingorquietinfantssixmonthsandyoungerin carriersmaystaybesidetheparentinthecardioarea.

Children13andyoungermayaccessthisareaifaccompanied byaparentorguardian18yearsorolder.
GuestsmayusetheFitnessAreasandparticipateindrop-in fitnessclasseswithanAdultDayPass.
Guestsareencouragedtowipeanyperspirationfromthe weightequipment,benches,andcardiovascularequipment aftereachusewiththecleaningmaterialsprovided.
Theuseofgymchalkisprohibited.
Guestareexpectedtorackweightsaftereachuse.
Spottersarerecommendedatallpressstations.
Guestsmustuseextremecautionwhenliftingweightstoavoid anypotentialinjury.Instructionplacardsshouldbe followed/observedwhenusingtheweightequipment.
Weightsanddumbbellsshouldnotbedropped,slammed, placedonvinylbenches,orrestedagainstthewalls, equipment,ormirrors.
Guestsareexpectedtomaintainproperhygienewhileusing thefitnessclassroom.
Waterinsqueezebottleswithalidorcontrolledspoutare encouraged.Nofoodorotherdrinksarepermitted.
Profanityorexcessivelyloudorsuggestivelanguagearenot permitted.
Allequipmentisoperatedonafirstcome,firstservebasis.
Duringpeakorwhenpeoplearewaiting,therewillbea 30-minuteworkouttimelimitpermachine.

monthlycalendarofeventswillbeavailableinthearea,aswell asatthefrontdesk.Weeklyactivitieswillbepromotedviathe TVscreenatentrance. Thisareahasage-appropriatetoys, games,books,andasink.ChildrenwillusetheRecreation CenterfamilyrestroomandRecreationCenterrestroom.Other areasoftheRecreationcentermaybeusedforscheduled organizedactivities.i.e.,gymnasium.Teammemberswill continuetoremainwithchildren.

ChildcareTeamMembers
Childcareattendantsare16yearsofageandolderandare selectedwithcare.Westrivetohavekindattendantswho enjoyworkingwithchildren.
AllteammembersarecertifiedinAdult,Child,andInfantCPR andfirstaid.
Trainingisprovidedonchildcare,appropriateagebehavior, expectations,andcaringforchildren. Additionaltrainingisprovidedinhouseandout. Children4to8yearsofagewillneedtobeapartofaFamily Pass.
ParentorGuardianmustremainintheRecreationCenteror attendingarecreationclass.Theparent/guardiancannot leavethebuildingorgototheAquaticCenter. Ifparentorguardianleavesthefacilitywiththechildindrop-in childcare,childcareprivilegescouldbesuspended,and MustangPolicewillbenotified.
Childcareisforamaximumof2hoursperchild.Pleasebeon timetopickupyourchild.Agraceperiodoffive(5)minuteswill
begivenbeforealatefreeischarged.Forevery15minutes over2hours,therewillbea$2.00fee.Feeswillbepaidatthe RecreationCenterfrontdesk.
Pleasereportanyconcernsorissuesimmediatelytothe FacilitySupervisor,byaskingforthemattheRecreationCenter frontdesk.

CareofChild
Childcareattendantsarenottochangediapers;ifabowel movementoccurs,theparent/guardianwillbenotifiedandwill needtoreturntotakecareofthesesituationsimmediately. Limitedassistanceisprovidedforusingtherestroom.Ifachild needsassistance,theparentwillbenotified.

Childrenarewelcometobringonefavoriteblanketortoyinto thechildcareareas.Nosmallparts.Teammembersarenot responsibleforbrokenorlosttoys.
FoodandSnacks
Parents/Guardianmayprovidedrinksinaspillproofplastic bottleorcupwillbepermitted.
Forchildren’ssafety,nofoodswithpeanutsareallowed.
IllnessandHygiene
Pleasehelpmakechildcarefacilitiesahealthyandsafeplace foryourchildren.Pleasedonotdropoffyourchildiftheyhave anyofthefollowingsymptoms:runnynosewithcolored discharge,fever,vomitingordiarrheawithinthelast24hours. Childrenwithrashes,eyedischargeorlice,maynotenter.
Toprotectotherchildren,iftheteammembersdetermineor suspectachildisill,theparentswillbenotifiedtopickupthe childimmediately.
Teammemberscannotadministeranymedicines.
ChildBehavior
Alleffortswillbemadetohelpthechildtobecomfortableand enjoytheirtimewhileinchildcare.Ifachildcannotbequieted fromcrying,screamingordistresswithin5minutes,parentwill benotified.Ifthechildcontinuestobeupsetorcry,theparent willneedtoremovethechild.
Allchildrenindrop-inchildcaremustconductthemselvesina mannerthatisnotdisruptivetootherchildren.Expected behavioris:

Biting,fighting,hittingandthrowingwillnotbetolerated. Parentswillbeaskedtoremoveanychildwhocannotbe controlledorwhorequiresoneononesupervision.Parksand Recreationteammembersreservetherighttomakethis decisionasneeded.
Ourgoalwithdisciplineisforeachchildtodevelopincreasing self-controlandtheabilitytoplayandcooperatewithothers. TimeoutistheONLYmethodofdisciplineusedindrop-in childcare.Timeoutwillnotbelongerthanonetotwominutes long,givingthechildachancetogaincontrol.Iftheparent prefers,wecangetthempriortoanytimeout.Parentwill receiveawrittenreportaboutincidentorissuethatmayhave occurred.
