ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT There’s a lot to be excited about in Murphy right now. Torchys Tacos opened up August 20, 2025 and we can verify - the tacos are indeed “damn good”. If you’ve been by H-E-B you’ve probably noticed the concrete. They’ve poured about 5,000 yards so far with quite a bit to go. Need a better picture? That’s about enough concrete to build a sidewalk from Murphy almost to Dallas or the same volume as 18 million tacos (because sometimes tacos are the only thing that makes sense). Did you hear the news? Nordstrom Rack and Burlington are coming to Murphy! Finally that blank space between Sticky Rice and Victory Paint (formerly Foxiis) will be filled in. For more updates, be sure you’re following The Corridor at Murphy on Facebook and Instagram.
