TEAM MURPHY EARNS STATEWIDE RECOGNITION
The City of Murphy recently received two statewide honors recognizing the work happening behind the scenes to serve our community.
The Communications Office received awards from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers for its efforts to keep residents informed, connected, and engaged. Clear and consistent communication helps residents better understand City services, programs, events, and decisions that affect the community.
The City’s Human Resources Department was also honored by the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association with the Human Resources Impact Award for cities with populations under 25,000. The award recognizes innovative programs that address workforce challenges and strengthen organizational culture.
Murphy’s Human Resources team was recognized for initiatives focused on competitive and fiscally responsible compensation, employee benefits, wellness, recognition, leadership development, and the creation of the City’s Murphy COOL core values: respeCtful, professiOnal, trustwOrthy, and friendLy. These efforts help the City attract, develop, and retain skilled public servants who are committed to providing residents with high-quality service.
