I am also happy to bring back an amazing summer activity for our youth. For the second consecutive year, we will present Summer Aviation Academy for youth in grades 5 – 12. Due to the success of last year, we have expanded to offer two days of this FREE camp where participants will meet real pilots, use simulators to direct and fly planes as pilots and air traffic controllers. A select few will go on a behind the scenes tour of Miami International Airport and from that group, a few will be given an opportunity for a one-week Aviation Training Program in Pensacola, courtesy of the Crockett Foundation.
