Real Dill Pickleball

The World’s fastest-growing sport is now a clinic your kids will love. Pickleball has been described as a combination of tennis, badminton & ping pong. Pickleball helps kids learn hand-eye coordination, agility & balance, and provides social interaction in a team setting. Kids will have so much fun they do not realize the cardiovascular benefits they are receiving, which can improve mood and mental wellness. This beginner camp teaches the fundamentals of serving and receiving the ball, volleying, dinking, positioning, and scoring.

Real Dill Kids Play Pickleball Weekly Round Robin

Ages: 9–13

Location: Kleiner Park Pickleball Courts

Min/Max: 8/16

Has your athlete taken pickleball classes and now needs a place to play and meet other athletes their age and level? Real Dill Kids Play is hosting a round robin weekly format. No partner is needed. They will be paired up with a new partner every round. An instructor will be on hand to help with game strategy as they practice and connect with other athletes. This is meant for players with some pickleball experience. For example, they have taken a class from Meridian Parks and Rec or Boise Area Pickleball.

Tumbling Skills Camps

Ages: 6+

Instructor: Janese B.

Location: Motions Dance Studio

Min/Max: 4/15

Cost: $12 each camp

These skills classes are open to all beginning and intermediate tumblers. Our experienced staff will work with each student on drills and skills at their level. Classes are structured to stimulate coordination, balance, strength, basic tumbling skills and creative movement all while learn how to be in an athletic class setting.

Beginning Cartwheels: September 16, 11:30–12:00, $12

This class is for kids who have never done or are just learning to do a cartwheel but cannot land it.

Beginning Backbends: September 16, 12:05–12:35, $12

This class will teach students how to properly push up into a backbend from laying on the ground (sometimes known as a bridge), and will also focus on strengthening our backbends and increasing flexibility in students’ backs and shoulders.

Cartwheels: September 16, 12:40–1:10, $12

This class is for kids who have a pretty solid closed cartwheel. We will focus on straightening it out and getting more control. We may switch to the other leg, and/or work on one-handed and farhanded cartwheels.

Backbends: September 16, 1:15–1:45, $12

This skills class is for students who already have a strong backbend pushing up from the ground. We will be working hard on getting students to a point where they can properly execute their backbend from standing.
