Celebrating 150 years

A MESSAGE FROM CITY MANAGER

MICHAEL CHANDLER:

As we celebrate Martinez’s 150th year, we ' re excited to share that 2026 will be filled with activities and programs that highlight the energy, creativity, and community spirit that make our City so special. Alongside two Sesquicentennial signature events, you’ll notice that many of our regular programs and gatherings throughout the year will carry a little extra spark as we honor this milestone together.

I encourage everyone to check the City Calendar often, as it’s updated regularly with events for all ages. Whether you ’ re joining us for a special 150th event or participating in one of our ongoing activities, this is a great year to celebrate together as a community!
