AQUATICS Lap Swim

Recreation Swim

Ages 16+ years Lap Swim is available from June-September. Swimmers will have the ability to swim any time during the posted lap swim hours. During heavy use, lap swimmers will be required to circle swim and/or share a lane with other swimmers. Participants must be at least 16 years old.

Punch passes are available for purchase online.

General Admission Fees Apply. Please check our website for lap swim closure dates.

Both the lap pool and the splash pool are open during recreational swim. Admission fee required for all guests over the age of two years old. Lifejackets are available for use.

Food is permitted. No glass, alcohol, knives or styrofoam allowed in the facility. Swim diapers are required for children not potty trained and can be purchased at the front counter.

These 55-minute classes offer techniques to improve health, movement, power and fun in the water.

Enjoy great music and the multi-fitness levels our instructors have to offer. All classes are for all levels of fitness both shallow and deep water. Registration is required. Punch passes nor drop ins are accepted.

Recreational Swim Pool Parties are an easy and popular way to hold a birthday, team, organization or office party. This package includes pool admission and a reserved picnic shelter of your choosing.

Capacity for each shelter varies. Capacity is based on number of guests, not number of guests swimming. Additional guests are charged full price and may be limited due to pool capacity.

We offer an exciting and engaging day camp program that offers a variety of activities and experiences for children of different age groups. Beaver Meadow Day Camp offers Fall and Winter camp sessions which include themed crafts, playground time, group games, and much more! Both Fall and Winter camps will be located at Nancy Boyd Park. Bring a snack, water, and lunch to camp each day. Each camper will receive a Beaver Meadow Camp t-shirt.

Contra Costa Senior Legal Services Free Wills Clinic

Dementia Family Caregiver Support Group

Contra Costa Senior Legal Services is sponsoring a Free Wills clinic on the last Thursday of every month. Free simple wills, advance health care directives and powers of attorney are available to seniors with low incomes and limited resources (income of $2,500 single/$3,500 couple and no assets apart from one’s house). No trusts will be drafted or reviewed. Appointments are available at a first come, first serve basis. To make an appointment, call 925-609-7900.

This is a support group for those who support others. This group is for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. If you are looking to talk to others in similar situations, need more information, additional support, or caregiving strategies join the Dementia Family Caregiver Support Group.

Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Senior Center Lounge.

Senior Nutrition Program Café Costa opens at 11:00am. Lunch is served Monday–Friday from 11:30am—12:15pm. For participants who are over the age of 60, there is a recommended contribution of $3.00. Lunch is a mandatory $6.00 fee for those under the age of 60. To make a reservation you must call by 12:00pm on the business day prior to the day you want to attend. You can reach Café Costa at 925-370-8770. Every year on July 1 a new Napis form will need to be filled out to receive meals.

Senior Peer Counseling As we get older, sometimes a little help means a lot. If you are 55 or older and facing challenges that are difficult to cope with alone, our Senior Peer Counseling program can help. Participants connect with fellow seniors who are trained to provide assistance and support with challenges such as depression, fear, loneliness, the loss of a loved one, health changes, or isolation.

Senior Peer Counseling is available in both English and Spanish. Services are free and confidential.

Senior Citizen’s Club of Martinez Membership The club exists solely for the enjoyment of its members and guests. The club sponsors activities, trips, card games, crafts, holiday luncheons, movies and more. It is truly a club "for its members, by its members." A membership of the SCC Martinez currently entitles seniors 50 years of age or older access to the following: bi-monthly bulletin, membership card and parking pass, monthly email blast, and priority day trip sign up. Care Manager

As a person ages, they may not know where to turn for answers and services that are available within the community. To help seniors remain nourished, safe, less isolated and independent for as long as possible, MOW Diablo Region offers a comprehensive Care Management program that assists seniors and their families. MOW Diablo Region's Care Management Team provides free and confidential guidance and shares resources about CalFresh benefits, elder abuse, long term care, housing issues, transportation, home safety modifications, legal services, and more. Tech Help at the Martinez Library Martinez Library has started a Computer Docent Program. Sign up at the information desk or call 925-646-9900 to book a free 15 minute, one-on-one appointment with a docent. Drop in help is available as time allows.

LIBRARY PROGRAMS Martinez Library Storytime

Build early literacy skills with stories, songs, finger plays and fun. When story time is over, enjoy a variety of toys for babies, toddlers and preschoolers in the same programming area. This unstructured time provides socialization, movement, and free play for little ones and their caregivers.

Pumpkin Dunkin September 5, 2025; Rankin Aquatic Center 5:00pm-7:00pm Dig out your goggles and grab your swimsuit. It’s time to make a splash at our annual Pumpkin Dunkin! Hunt for the perfect floating pumpkin in the pool, then stick around for decorating, games, and gourd-geous fun. Costumes are encouraged for this spooktacular splash event. Pre-registration is required for all youth who want a pumpkin. Drop-ins are welcome but pumpkins are not guaranteed and subject to availability.

Dia De Los Muertos November 1, 2025; Ignacio Plaza Time to be Announced Join the Martinez Arts Association (MAA) and City of Martinez in celebrating the Day of the Dead in a joyous and meaningful gathering to honor and remember those who have passed. The scavenger hunt information will be available on December 1st.
