Mosquito Prvention tips
Follow these tips to held prevent mosquitos from ruining your day! Remove Mosquito Habitats Eliminate standing water in rain gutters, old tires, buckets, plastic covers, toys, or any other item where mosquitos can breed.
Keep Mosquitos outside Use screens on the windows or air conditioning to keep mosquitos from slipping in a window.
Stay Indoors During Dusk and Dawn While mosquitoes can bite at any time of the day, it's wise to limit your exposure during their prime feeding times. If you can't avoid being outdoors at these times of the day, make sure to take some other precautions.
Treat Pools of Water Treat pools of water you can not drain to kill mosquito larvae.
Use Mosquito Repellent The most effective chemical repellents contain DEET, picaridin, PMD, or IR3535 insecticide, which are all considered safe when used as directed. Wear Long-Sleeved Shirts & Long Pants Thicker fabrics and looser fits with lighter colors offer more protection than thin clothing that fits tightly.
