City of Jonesboro Announces New Smartphone App!

2022 Budget of $6.1M Approved by Council With an emphasis on customer service delivery and quality of life issues, the Jonesboro City Council recently approved the 2022 Budget of $6,104,280. The budget provides for no employee cuts, a 2% increase for employees, technology enhancements, increase in minimum wage to $15.00 per hour, additional positions of Technology Specialist & Economic Development Manager, funding for Tuition Reimbursement, participation in the National League of Cities, four F150 trucks for Police Corporals, two replacement trucks for Public Works, and Debt Service for ongoing Capital Improvement Projects (Broad Street, City Center & Lee Street Park). It provides long term funding for future projects and advances the City’s Strategic Direction in Public Safety & Education.
