Vision for the Future
Elevating Aquatic and Recreation Opportunities for Irving Residents
City leadership has a plan to make significant improvements to several aquatic and recreational facilities, as well as build Irving’s first multi-generational mixed-use recreation and aquatics community center that will have something for everyone.
City Council authorized a funding strategy that will not impact the tax rate and has earmarked $92 million for the projects while still fully funding existing capital improvement projects such as park enhancements, road reconstruction, drainage improvements and water/wastewater upgrades. The $92 million is primarily comprised of voter-approved recreation and senior center bond funds and non-bond capital improvement program allocations.
