Free Cuba Rally
MILES PARTICIPAN EN EL RALLY CUBA LIBRE
8,500 people gathered at Milander park on March 25 for the Free Cuba Rally, led by Mayor Bryan Calvo and co-hosted by Alexander Otaola, founder of the Cuban Anti-Communist Foundation. Residents, elected officials, community leaders, and members of the Cuban exile community stood together in support of full political freedom for the Cuban people. Mayor Calvo spoke about his father’s experience during the Mariel boatlift and urged the crowd to reject reforms that leave the current power structure in place.
Cuba will not trade one form of control for another,” said Mayor Bryan Calvo. “The people have endured too much to settle for anything less than true freedom.”
