Healdsburg Fire Department Adds New Captain We are pleased to announce Captain Victor Andrade assumed the role of B shift Fire Captain at the Healdsburg Fire Department, on October 16, 2023. Originally from Mexico and moving to the United States at 10 years old, Victor has built a commendable career in the fire service. His journey includes volunteer service at Cloverdale Fire and a significant 16-year stint at CalFire, progressing through roles like Helitack Firefighter and Fire Apparatus Engineer, and eventually Fire Captain, with service across several units including Eel River and Konocti Conservation Camps, Sea Ranch, and most recently Healdsburg CalFire. Victor and his wife Olga, who also works in Healdsburg, reside in Santa Rosa with their two sons, Oliver (10) and Lucas (8). The City of Healdsburg is delighted to welcome them.
Please join us in welcoming Captain Andrade and his family. We anticipate his leadership and rich experience will greatly benefit our fire department and the wider community.

TAKE THE SONOMA COUNTY ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN SURVEY
Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA) is currently creating the Sonoma County Active Transportation Plan (ATP). Active transportation refers to “human-powered” modes of travel, like walking, biking, or using mobility devices.
The ATP will focus on increasing access to active transportation modes by planning for infrastructure projects and supportive programs. SCTA is partnering with Cloverdale, Cotati, Healdsburg, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Sonoma, and Unincorporated Sonoma County to create a community-informed Active Transportation Plan.The planning team needs your input to identify needs, barriers, and opportunities to ensure a successful ATP. The function of the Commission is to advise the City Council on all matters relating to policies and programs which serve all senior citizens of the community. Members of the Senior Citizen Advisory Commission must be fifty-five years of age or older at the time of appointment.
