FOLEY FAMILY COMMUNITY PAVILION CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Construction is well underway at the Foley Family Community Pavilion. This longplanned project will convert the former Cerri warehouse into a community events facility and home of the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market. The City’s contractor completed demolition of the wall and roof panels, stabilized the existing steel trusses, installed new roof purlins, and removed the concrete slab inside the building. Excavation of soils underneath the slab is currently in progress. During soil excavation, the construction team’s archaeologist documented several historical items including soda bottles from the 1800’s. Over the next few weeks, contractors will shore up the steel columns and demolish the concrete stem walls.

We are very grateful for the support of the Foley Family Charitable Foundation and the community’s involvement in shaping this transformative project! Construction is expected to be complete in Summer 2025.

For more information, please visit the Foley Family Community Pavilion’s project webpage.

SAGGIO HILLS AFFORDABLE HOUSING

PHASE I

Healdsburg Secures $21.1 Million in Funding

The City of Healdsburg is pleased to announce that Freebird Development, in partnership with Jamboree Housing, has been awarded $21.1 million in funding from the State of California’s Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program. This funding, approved by the California Strategic Growth Council, will help finance Phase I of the City-sponsored Saggio Hills Affordable Housing project, which is part of a larger 118-unit affordable housing development. The awarded funds will contribute to the construction of 48 affordable rental units in this phase, a 3,000 square foot community building, along with essential infrastructure and transportation enhancements that will benefit the entire community.

This project is a key part of Healdsburg’s strategy for sustainable growth, aimed at providing affordable housing options for local workers and residents.

With the AHSC funding secured, the City and its partners are actively applying for additional funding to fully realize the Saggio Hills Affordable Housing project. Construction of Phase I is anticipated to begin in Spring of 2025.
