On May 29, 2025, the Healdsburg City Council conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Recycled Water Pipeline
This project will offset approximately 27 million gallons of potable water annually by shifting water demand to a drought resilient recycled water system. The recycled water will be used to irrigate municipal turf facilities including schools, athletic fields, parks, the cemetery and the golf course Additionally, three fill stations will be available for construction and residential use.
By reducing the demand on our potable water system, the project helps ensure that more water remains available for Healdsburg residents and businesses during times of water scarcity
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the California Department of Water Resources, John A. Peterson with Fecunditatis, West Yost Associates, and Matt MacDonald for supporting this project.
Additionally, we’d like to extend a very special thanks to Argonaut Constructors, whose commitment, efficiency, and quality workmanship brought this critical infrastructure to life.

On May 15, 2025 Alexander Valley School’s 3rd grade class got a firsthand look at how local government works during an exciting field trip to City Hall! Hosted by Mayor Mitchell, the students toured key departments including the City Manager's office, Finance, Utilities, Planning, Public Works, and Human Resources
The highlight of the day included a mock City Council meeting where they debated two very important issues: daily ice cream at school and eliminating homework. It was a great opportunity for students to learn how local government works and share their own ideas in a hands-on way.
Healdsburg City Council would like to invite the community to help select an official City flower, plant, or tree to represent our community. The opportunity to name an official City flower, plant, or tree comes at the request of a community member during City Council's Fiscal Year 2024-25 goal setting process last year.
The City asked for assistance from the Healdsburg Garden Club to to compile a thoughtful list of candidates that reflect the natural beauty and character of our region.
The Garden Club’s recommendations include the following:
The Native Iris Yellow Mariposa Lily
Scarlet Fritillary
Blue-eyes Grass
California Native Grape
Oak Tree
Stay tuned! Voting begins on June 9, 2025 and will run through July 10, 2025. For additional information please visit our website here
