Seniors Week 8 - 15 NOVEMBER 2026
2026 Seniors Week Program
Welcome It is my pleasure to welcome you to Seniors Week 2026, a special opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the significant contributions our senior community makes to Greater Geraldton. This year’s program is filled with engaging activities, including the ever-popular Mayor’s Mystery Bus Tour. Always a favourite, the tour offers plenty of fun, unexpected discoveries and the chance to learn more about our beautiful region. We’re also delighted to continue the Buy Nothing Market Day, providing an opportunity to pass on pre-loved items while uncovering hidden gems. Adding to the excitement, this year’s raffle features our biggest prize yet: a Pink Lake Flyover for two people, generously donated by Shine Aviation and valued at $780.
Seniors Week 2026 would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, sponsors, community groups and City staff. Your commitment and hard work help create an unforgettable experience for everyone. I encourage you to embrace the opportunities on offer, catch up with familiar faces, forge new connections and enjoy celebrating everything that makes our senior community so special. Seniors Week starts with great community ideas. If you would like to help, make next year’s Seniors Week even bigger and better, we invite you to volunteer and share your ideas. We’d love to hear from you. Thank you for your participation and support, and for helping make Seniors Week 2026 another wonderful success. Mayor Jerry Clune City of Greater Geraldton

Celebrate Seniors Week 2026 by discovering Purple Road displays across Western Australia. Stretching over 100 metres across the state, each Purple Road invites the community to honour the wisdom, individuality and life journeys of older people, while helping raise awareness of elder abuse and challenging ageism. The Older People’s Rights Service team at Encompass Legal and Community Services invites you to follow the Purple Road journey and to get in touch if you or someone you know is at risk or experiencing elder abuse.
Take a photo with the QEII’s Purple Road artwork and vote for it as your favourite display.
