We’re glad you have come to visit us in downtown Golden! If you are shopping, dining or just enjoying a stroll downtown, we have plenty of parking available.

Parking is free for the first two hours in our downtown parking lots and garages after registering your license plates at the pay station or by using the Parkmobile app. Always register your vehicle, even if you are staying for less than two hours. Our parking garages are located on Jackson Street between 11th and 13th.

There is a paid Golden Trailhead parking lot located at 911 & 917 12th Street. Note: This is not a City lot. Paid parking is also available at the Colorado School of Mines. Visitors to campus during operational hours should park in the General and Commuter lots. All visitor parking areas have a pay-and-display parking meter. If you are coming for a special event or find yourself parking outside the downtown area, please be aware that the surrounding neighborhoods have resident permit parking. Read signs and choose a parking spot carefully.

The Parkmobile app makes paying for parking in Golden easy! Parking Zone# Download the Parkmobile app to your phone and use it to pay 8789 for parking, register your car or extend your parking time. Free Two‑Hour Parking: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

• Parking in the Orange zones, indicated on the map above, is available only for two hours. • You may not park longer than 2 hours in these areas. • After 5 p.m., park here free and for the evening. • Two-hour parking is in effect in these areas 7 days/week. • You don’t need to register your vehicle at a pay station.

The map above indicates designated accessible parking for our visitors who may need to park in close proximity to downtown. Additional designated spaces are located within both parking garages.

following locations: • Golden Visitors Center – 1010 Washington Ave. • Public parking garage – 1250 Jackson St. • Public parking garage – 702 12th St. • City Hall Annex – 1000 10th St. • Golden History Park – 907 11th St. • The Astor House parking lot – 820 12th St.
