Parking in Golden
We’re glad you have come to visit us in Downtown Golden! If you are shopping, dining, or just enjoying a stroll downtown, we have plenty of parking available.
Parking is free for the first two hours in our downtown parking lots and garages after registering your license plates at the pay station or by using the Parkmobile app. Always register your vehicle, even if you are staying for less than two hours. Our parking garages are located on Jackson Street between 11th and 13th Streets. Street, city parking lot, and garage parking are free on weekends and after 5p.m. on weekdays. There is a paid Golden Trailhead Parking lot located at 911 & 917 12th Street. Paid parking is also available at the Colorado School of Mines. Visitors to campus during operational hours should park in the General and Commuter lots. All visitor parking areas have a pay and display parking meter.

If you are coming for a special event, or find yourself parking outside the downtown area, please be aware that the surrounding neighborhoods have resident permit parking. Read signs and choose your parking spot carefully.
TIP: The parking garages on Jackson Street typically have plenty of open parking spots and are only one block east of Washington Avenue. Head there if you don’t see any available street parking.
