Community Development Department (707) 961-2823
cdd@fortbraggca.gov

The City of Fort Bragg is pleased to partner with 4LEAF Inc and the County’s Planning and Building Services to expand building review options These partnerships will help make the review process faster, simpler, and more flexible—so you can move your project forward with confidence We’re making it easier to build in Fort Bragg!
The Community Development Department (CDD) begins the plan review and strives for a twoweek turnaround After the plan check is complete, CDD routes the application to the Public Works Department (PW) for the engineering review PW also strives for a two-week turnaround Once both reviews have been done, the applicant receives a fee sheet covering the City’s review costs Then the City will route for the building review

Mendocino County Planning and Building Services (PBS) is a trusted resource and has acted as the City’s Building Department for decades They have a local office and a communicative administrative staff. They have recently shifted towards digital submittals, which establishes easy continuity between the City, the County, and the Applicant. As the County processes permits both within and without the City limits, the review turnaround can vary. Please contact PBS directly at (707) 964-5379 to find out current review timelines. 4Leaf Inc. is a multi-disciplined private consulting firm whose Building Division has professionals with decades of professional experience. They have a regional office in Santa Rosa. CDD and 4Leaf have worked diligently to ensure internal administrative processes are streamlined in order to allow for expedited review processes. For applications that are complete with no needed corrections, 4Leaf has a two-week review timeline. If corrections are required, then corrected submittals will be reviewed within two weeks of receipt. An expedited review option is available at 1 5 times the standard plan review fee, with a return time of 7 days from receipt of plans by the City
