Learn exercise techniques performed from a chair or standing to improve function and prevent contractures, muscle imbalance and atrophy. Participants work at their own ability and pace, resting as needed. Adaptations are given to accommodate differing abilities. Research shows that yoga can improve circulation, balance and flexibility, and reduce muscle tension, nervousness, depression, anxiety, and emotional stress –all common symptoms of MS. Strength, Balance & Flexibility ♥ Ages 22 & up This class is a beginning/intermediate strength, flexibility and balance training class. Gentle movements using a variety of equipment and methods with progressions are given for those needing more challenges. Accessible Pursuits Are you looking for exciting and rewarding activities for your group? Organizations, agencies and individuals are invited to participate in the Accessible Pursuits program. It uses the expertise and resources of the City of Eugene Adaptive Recreation Services to design a recreation program that meets your specific needs. Customized activities can include: • Cycling • Leisure education • Kayaking • Art • River rafting • Community outings
