National Dance Week Kickoff Party

The week officially begins with a celebration of Eugene’s eclectic dance community. Local studios and choreographers will present a collection of serial short performances featuring a variety of styles. There will also be interactive dance activities throughout the evening, including figure artist drawing, a kids’ craft area hosted by MECCA and a kids’ movement and dance area from flex Studios. Elite Dance Company
Elite is an adult performance company training in a variety of styles from jazz to hip hop to contemporary and more. While their focus is primarily performing, they aim to provide opportunities to train at an “elite” level and help dancers reach their goals by offering on-going dance workshops and classes for the dance communities of Eugene and Springfield.
RETRO
RETRO is a self-taught freestyle movement artist, teacher and mental health advocate. He combines elements and techniques of multiple dance styles while freestyling and creating his own story in the moment.
