“The Bias Inside Us” is touring the country, and the next stop is Elk Grove. Grounded in research, “The Bias Inside Us” explores the foundational blocks of bias, the psychology of how bias forms, and how it influences behaviors both consciously and subconsciously. Through compelling images, colorful graphics and art, and hands-on interactive and powerful testimonials and videos, the exhibition unpacks and demystifies the concept of bias.

The exhibit is hosted by the Elk Grove Unified School District and is free to attend. For details, visit egusd.net

Grazing Management

They’re ba-aack! The City’s seasonal workforce of 7,000 goats and sheep have returned, joining the Public Works team to help lower fire danger in heavily weeded areas. These grazers reduce the need for manual or mechanical removal of weeds, which improves air and water quality, reduces soil erosion, and has less impact on fish and wildlife habitats. All work is targeted to be complete by mid-July. Track the progress, visit elkgrovecity.org/goats
