Get out and mingle with your neighbors and the hardworking officers of the Elk Grove Police Department during the 33rd annual crime prevention event called National Night Out. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., neighborhoods and police departments in Elk Grove and across the nation are teaming up to host block parties with everything from barbecues and bounce houses to potlucks and snow cones. It’s a wonderful opportunity to promote police/community partnerships, crime prevention, and neighborhood camaraderie. By bringing us together to confront the pervasive problems of crime, drugs, and violence, National Night Out helps cultivate the spirit and determination necessary to make our neighborhoods safer and our communities stronger. For more information or to register your block party, please contact the Elk Grove PD Crime Prevention Officers at 478-8122 or CrimePrevention@ElkGrovePD.org.
