Blackberry Farm offers private swim lessons for adaptive needs youth depending on swimmer’s ability and demand for safety in the pool. To inquire, contact Jason Bisely at jasonb@cupertino.org.

Parent/Child Water Introduction 1-3Y

Introduce your child to the water through songs, games, and group activities. Discover basic skills such as water entry and exits, floats, glides, arm and leg movements, and water safety. This class is oneparent to one-child ratio and parent must accompany child in the water at all times.

Your child can learn to swim with confidence and develop an enjoyment of the water. This one-on-one instruction is appropriate for any skill level and will help your child to build comfort in the water and work on swimming skills and water safety.

If you're looking to create a custom all-day summer camp for your child, follow these four easy steps!

Select and register for a morning camp to begin your child’s day

Register for lunch extended care, and our staff will pick up, entertain, and take your child to their afternoon camp

Continue the fun by selecting and registering for an afternoon camp

If you need extra time at the end of camp, register for afternoon extended care from 4 to 5 p.m.

Who watches my child during extended care? Our recreation staff will be on-hand to facilitate activities for your child during extended care hours.

Can you attend just a morning or just an afternoon camp? Yes, the Mix and Match option is available for those who want a full-day, but you may register for just morning or just afternoon.

Kids love to build the world they see around them. This course facilitates this by teaching you to navigate the world of Minecraft and make your own little world. Minecraft is the perfect avenue to explore the basics of design, engineering & computational thinking and work on problem-solving skills while developing out-of-the-world virtual environments. In this course, we harvest the love kids have for constructing worlds in Minecraft to teach computational thinking skills and help bring a STEAM curriculum alive while designing buildings, models, operational/automated devices, and completing challenges that incorporate logical and analytical thinking.

Your child will spend a fun and educational week exploring the natural wonders of McClellan Ranch Preserve and the Stevens Creek Corridor! The Cupertino Tennis Club is co-sponsored by the City and is open to residents and nonresidents. CTC offers tournaments, interclub, social events, and sponsors teams, which compete in the USTA Nor-Cal Leagues.

Private Tennis Instruction

Private, semi-private, and small group lessons may be arranged upon request. Please contact Lifetime Activities at (408) 777-3169.

Make-up Policy

In the event a class is canceled, make-up classes will be rescheduled (as time and weather permits) at the discretion of Lifetime Activities. Make-up classes tend to be on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Make-up classes are not offered due to student absences. Students/parents are responsible for calling or checking online at lifetimeactivities.com for make-up days and times.

Rain Policy

In the event of rain, contact the Lifetime Activities rain hotline at (408) 252-4529. Please do not call any earlier than one hour before class is scheduled as conditions may change from hour to hour.

Bring Your Own Equipment

All students in all classes are asked to bring their own equipment to class. Equipment for tennis, table tennis, pickleball, and badminton can be purchased in the Lifetime Activities Pro Shop at the Cupertino Sports Center, (408) 777-3169.

Ball Machine Rental

Lifetime Activities offers a ball machine for rent at the Sports Center on our specialized ball machine court. You can rent this great practice and workout tool for 45 minutes or with long-term passes. For further information on products, services, and prices, please call (408) 777-3169.

Tennis Pro Shop

The Cupertino Sports Center has an on-site pro shop, services include racquet stringing and regripping. There is a demo program to test out racquets and knowledgeable staff to assist you with any of your pro shop needs.

Youth classes take place at the Cupertino Sports Center. Adult classes may take place at the Cupertino Sports Center or Memorial Park tennis courts.

Check-in/out for Children 14 Years and Younger

It is the policy of the Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department that all children 0-14 years of age must be checked in and out of classes and activities by a parent or guardian. Please see the instructor to check your child in and out. If you have questions regarding this policy, please call the Cupertino Parks and Recreation office at (408) 777-3120.

Ready! Rally! Play!

READY! Our entry level is focused on developing the skills necessary to play the sport of tennis. Your child will have fun while developing their technique through ball striking, tracking, racket control, and footwork. RALLY! This level continues the tennis journey by focusing on rallying and ball control. Players will continue to develop technique using the ball and court size appropriate for their age and level. Players should be able to hold a simple rally and get their serve in consistently before moving on to PLAY. The PLAY level places an emphasis on the skills necessary to play a real match. Your child will continue to develop modern swing techniques as they focus on movement and ball control. Players graduating from the PLAY level will be able to demonstrate the skills necessary to play a match and are ready to move into our Junior Development classes or try out for the Competition Training program. No class 8/21, 8/23, 8/25.

Bronze, Silver, Gold Junior 10-16Y Development Team

Bronze is for students who have graduated from the Ready! Rally! Play! program. Students must be able to demonstrate a rally and consistent serve in the correct service box. This program is designed to prepare students to play matches. Silver and Gold level players are capable of consistent rallying from the baseline, as well as demonstrating a proper serve. More advanced footwork techniques will be introduced to improve court coverage. Players at this level often compete for their school teams or play USTA Tournaments. No class 8/25.

Where an age is indicated, the participant must be that age by the first day of class. Proof of age may be required.

Class attendance is limited to the registered participants only. Sorry, no children in parent’s classes and no parents in children’s classes.

There are no make-ups for classes you don’t attend. On occasion, a class/activity will be canceled due to weather, instructor availability or unforeseen emergencies. If Cupertino Parks and Recreation cancels a class meeting, a refund will be issued or a make-up class will be offered if schedule permits.

Refund Policy

Activity withdrawals  Withdrawals must be requested in writing at least eight calendar days prior to the start of the activity for a full refund.

Withdrawals requested four to seven calendar days prior to the first activity meeting will incur a 10% processing fee.

Refunds will not be issued three calendar days or less before the start of the activity.

1-day Classes/Events Refunds must be requested in writing at least eight calendar days prior to start of 1-day class/event.

Aquatics Policy Request for course withdrawals from aquatics classes must be submitted at least 14 calendar days prior to the start of the first class meeting. No refunds will be issued for aquatics classes if the request is made less than 14 days prior to the first class meeting.

Transfers will not be allowed once the class has begun.

Course Cancellations Refunds will be issued if a course is canceled by Cupertino Parks and Recreation. Courses not reaching their minimum enrollment will be canceled.

Refunds by Check Refunds by check take up to six weeks to process. Original payments made in cash or check will be refunded as a check.

If you paid by credit card, your refund will be applied to your credit card.

I further understand that accidents and injuries can result from the ACTIVITY; knowing the risks, nevertheless, I agree to assume those risks, and to release and hold harmless the Indemnitees who (through negligence or carelessness) might otherwise be liable to me (or my heirs or assigns) for damages. If a court of competent jurisdiction declares any portion of this agreement invalid, the remainder of the agreement shall continue in full force and effect. I further allow my photograph to be taken and used for City purposes without compensation.
