Advanced Beading

Learn about beading tools, different types of beading wires, threads, and cords, and assorted beads. Practice learned techniques by creating assorted earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.

Ballroom Dance

Learn a wide range of ballroom dancing from the waltz, to tango, to samba and more. No partner or experience needed.

Chair Exercise

Come join this class for a gentle chair workout that focuses on building whole body strength and improving balance and coordination.

Cyber Security

Learn of methods and best practices to keep your devices and information safe from cyber threats. This course is to inform, guide, and teach preventative measures against cyber-attacks.

ESL-Intermediate Conversation

Join a lively ESL conversation class and gain confidence in your English by talking with fellow students about a variety of topics you are interested in.

Feldenkrais Method®

The Feldenkrais Method is a revolutionary approach to improving your life through gentle low impact exercises with focus on being mindful of your movements.

Hula Beginning

Be guided through the fundamentals of hula while learning the art and tales of Hawai’ian storytelling through dance.

Kumihimo

Learn the fundamentals, a Japanese form of braid-making, to interlace cords, threads, and beads to make custom jewelry.

Line Dancing – Beginner

All levels of dancers are welcome to join this beginning line dance class. Line dance is great exercise that may improve your balance, memorization skills, muscle tone, and overall health. This class covers the fundamentals and basic steps of line dance.

Socials

Most socials are free for members, except those activities that specify otherwise. Non-members pay $5 Visitor’s Pass. For current information, visit bit.ly/50Scene.

Open Card Playing and Bridge

Monday and Thursday, noon to 4 p.m. Form your own groups or meet other members to play.

Ballroom Dance Social

Painting and Drawing at All Levels

Paint and draw with some of the friendliest artists in town. You will receive personal feedback on your work from student facilitators and encouragement from other classmates in this freeform class. All artist levels are welcome.

Monday, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Drop in for fun and dancing. Room capacity is limited to 30 people.

Chess and Checkers

Tuesday, noon to 4 p.m.

A few boards are available for play with other members. Personal boards are welcome to be brought.

Open Board Game Playing

Yuan Chi

Gain flexibility, endurance, and boost your energy through the movements of this gentle and graceful dance. Class is conducted in both English and Mandarin.

Yoga Foundations

Strengthen and stretch your body to support healthy joints and posture. In Iyengar Style Yoga, your positions are supported through props to allow safe and effective practice for any age or ability.

Wednesday, noon to 4 p.m. Some board games available for play. Members are welcome to bring their own board games to play with other members.

Karaoke Weekly Social

Bingo

Friday, 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Come to join us for an afternoon of bingo. Bingo cards cost $5 to $8.

March Birthday Bash

Wednesday, March 8, noon

Celebrate the Irish tradition of St. Patrick’s Day early with Irish entertainment plus a full meal of corned beef and cabbage, carrots, potatoes, and dessert. Members with March birthdays will be honored. Please state vegetarian preference when registering. Last day to register is Friday, February 24. Member fee is $12, nonmember is $17.

Valentine’s Concert

Friday, February 3, 5 p.m.

All you need is love, whether between family or friends. Join in this Valentine’s themed performance as Harker’s Tri-M shares their love through their musical talents. Harker Tri-M is a musical performance group that spreads their joy for music with others in their community. Light refreshments will be served after the concert. Concert is open to all to attend.

April Birthday Bash

Wednesday, April 12, noon

Join us in celebrating Earth Day early with this garden party themed lunch serving chicken salad, potato salad, pasta salad, and fruit salad for dessert. Members with April birthdays will be honored. Please state vegetarian preference when registering. Last day to register is Friday, March 31. Member fee is $12, non-member is $17.

Cinco de Mayo Birthday Bash

Wednesday, May 3, noon

Enjoy Mexican filled lunch of chicken enchiladas, refried beans, Mexican rice, and dessert while celebrating Cinco de Mayo early! Members with May birthdays will be honored. Please state vegetarian preference when registering. Last day to register is Friday, April 21. Member fee is $12, non-member is $17.

50+ Tennis

Tuesday and Friday, 9 a.m. at Memorial Park Tennis Courts 5 and 6 Drop in to play and exercise while being social and meeting other Cupertino Senior Center members.

50+ Bocce Ball

Wednesday, March 1 to October 25

9 a.m. at Blackberry Farm

Enjoy the outdoors at Blackberry Farm alongside the Stevens Creek Trail while teaming up with fellow members playing bocce ball. First time players welcome, instructions are available.

50+ Softball

Thursday, March 30 to December 7

9 a.m.

Memorial Park is home of the Cupertino Sandlot softball group who warm-up and take batting practice beginning at 9 a.m. A pick-up game starts promptly at 10 a.m. each week. Fee is $55 for the season. Senior Center membership is required.

Ping Pong

Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Friday, 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Two ping pong tables are available for play in a non-competitive environment for all levels. First come, first served. Limited to 25 players for safety.
