Aquatics HOW TO REGISTER

No in-person transactions are allowed at this time; all registration must be made online or over-the-phone. Please visit www.covingtonwa.gov/cac, or call us at (253) 480-2480.

SOCIALLY DISTANCED SWIMMING All swimming requires pre-registration for 25-minute blocks of time; specific location will be assigned at check-in on the day of the swim. Specific requests cannot be guaranteed, but should be made ahead of time by e-mailing parks@covingtonwa.gov.

SPECIAL EVENTS AMERICAN RED CROSS ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE The Covington Aquatic Center offers advanced training courses. Schedules for these programs vary based upon demand and advanced instructor availability. Please contact the Covington Aquatic Center at parks@ covingtonwa.gov or call the front desk at 253.480.2480 to be placed on a class request list.

SEAHORSE SWIM CLINICS

Reserving two consecutive blocks of time will result in an additional 5-minute of swimming time (normally the transition time between), but no additional discounts will be applied. Please see activity catalogue descriptions on registration site for additional details. LAP SWIMS (per 25-minute block) Lap swimming is available in the deep-end of the pool, with a maximum of two swimmers per lane. Each swimmer is assigned a specific resting wall, and should not stop on the opposite wall or come within six feet of the other swimmer, except to pass. Individual Pre-registration Fee

$5.00

RECREATION SWIMS (per 25-minute block) The shallow area of the pool is physically divided into sections to allow social distancing for swimming and water recreation. Multiple members of the same household may register to swim at the same time and share each other’s water space, when appropriate, but each registration reserves one section of the pool. Individual Pre-registration Fee

$5.00

*Please Note: Children under 6 years old must have one adult in their household accompany them in the same water space at no cost (child is registered participant, adult must pre-register to accompany).

Each 55-minute Seahorse Swim Clinic is a specialized competitive swim training skills development session, including competitive starts and turns training, endurance and drills training, and stroke technique work. Anyone between 6-18 years of age who can safely swim the length of the pool without assistance or stopping is welcome to participate, but a swimming level competency of Learnto-Swim Level 4 or higher is strongly recommended for this clinic to be beneficial. Swimmers may sign-up for one or several clinics. Class 2251.07.1200 2252.07.1200 2253.07.1200 2254.07.1200 2255.07.1200 2256.07.1200 2257.07.1200 2258.07.1200
