It’s the year to experiment, innovate, and let imagination redefine reality. We will take you from a virtual world to an ancient world of gods and heroes, to beneath the surface of the earth, to the moors of Wuthering Heights and beyond, all with tractor loads of tomfoolery and silliness.

Gladys: A Musical Affair
Political satire as you’ve never seen it before
A Rheinberger and Wilson Production
Presented by JMT Touring
Spawned from the YouTube sensation during our dark COVID times, Gladys: A Musical Affair is a new musical journey about the alleged life of Gladys Berejiklian, from her tireless leadership through fire and pandemic disasters, to her biggest disaster: dastardly Daryl. As Gladys’s secret life with Daryl became exposed in ICAC phone taps, “The Woman Who Saved Australia” but couldn’t save herself, gave us all the makings of a classic fall from grace. You’ll hear torch songs and big musical numbers from Gladys, a bit of country from Daryl, some stern words from Kerry Chant, and even some Armenian matchmaking music. This show is not just a musical comedy: it’s a document of the strange bushfire and COVID years we all went through.
With music and lyrics by ABC Radio’s Nick Rheinberger, Tia Wilson returns as Gladys in several colourful blazers. It’s got big rock numbers, epic ballads, tap dancing and even more musical press conferences.
Get in line for the first performance in Coffs Harbour after sold out premiere at Sydney Fringe!

SUB GUTS Dance x Ashleigh Musk
Traversing fractured earth
Presented by JMT Touring
SUB brings together an incredible team of artists in this experimental contemporary dance work. SUB blends the body, sound, objects and lighting to imagine a future world where humans have burrowed underground to live. The pressure is building, the earth is restless and we are tunnelling into soil and stone. In this underground world, we come into contact with precious materials, we respect and give life to junk-like objects, we care for each other and the environment. SUB is a place of oppositesfrom wet to dry, hot to cold, soft to strong. We go up to go down, we go across to go in, the inhabitants attempt to navigate this always changing underground space which attracts and scares us- we engage with the terror and volatility of the living natural world.

God of Carnage
A comedy of manners, without the manners
Presented by JMT Touring
An Echo Theatre Production
Written by Yasmina Reza | Directed by Jordan Best
Two eleven-year-old boys, a stick and some broken teeth are the catalyst in this classic comedy, which Echo Theatre have reimagined, setting it in Canberra in a vibrant new production. When two couples meet to discuss the playground incident between their sons, the evening begins quite amicably. Soon, however, the afternoon deteriorates from one of mild unease and discomfort, into a deluge of accusations, recriminations, jealousy and rage.
There’s aging parents, drug side effects, precious catalogues, abandoned hamsters, not to mention drinking, fighting, projectile vomiting and the destruction of some rather lovely tulips. Kids are kids, but can the grown-ups be grown up enough to resolve their differences without losing sight of right and wrong?

Presented by HIT Productions & JMT Touring
Written & Composed by David Milroy
Charlie, Elsa and Fay take you on a musical journey back to 1940s post-war Perth. Against a backdrop of curfews, and the fear of arrest for consorting, White and Black manage to form their own club. For a night they can forget their worries and experience rare happy times singing, dancing, listening to music, and with a little luck... romance.
Forty years on, as the club faces demolition, our three characters meet once again to stage a musical reunion and protest in an attempt to save their old stomping ground. Ollie’s sister is missing. Searching in desperation, Ollie finds that all roads lead to Pomona - a concrete island that lurks like a black hole in the heart of the city. Here at the centre of everything, journeys end and nightmares begin.
Pomona is a surreal, disturbing horror story that grapples with the hidden suffering and exploitation that goes on beneath the surface of almost every facet of our lives.
The play unfolds in a series of episodes, skipping back and forth in time and revealing snippets of information as it continues delving into the shadows of a uniquely hellish version of the city.
Pomona is a story about stories, stressed by one, haunting line: “everything bad is real.”

There Goes the Bride
Presented by Coffs Harbour Amateur Theatre Society Productions
By Ray Cooney and John Chapman | Directed by Steve North
When harassed advertising executive Timothy Wester hits his head on the morning of his daughter’s society wedding, he awakes to find himself in the company of Polly Perkins, a 1920s Flapper girl straight out of his current advertising campaign. It soon becomes all too clear that no one else can see or hear her, and when another bump on the head transports Timothy back to 1926 and the Savoy hotel, the carefully planned wedding preparations disintegrate into chaos as friends and family attempt to lead Timothy back to reality and his daughter down the aisle before the newly arrived ‘in-laws’ abandon the wedding.
“A fiendishly clever farce that gets madder and funnier as it goes along.” Daily Mirror
Legally Blonde

“Oh my God, you guys!” You’ll be hooked from the first note as Elle heads to Harvard Law to win back her ex-boyfriend, Warner. With a suitcase full of pink and a heart full of determination, she charms everyone—until the reality of law school sets in. Facing strict professors and cliquey classmates, Elle digs deep and discovers strengths she never knew she had.
