experiences Eco
In 2021 the Co s Coast was globally recognised as an ECO Destination… celebrated for its commitment to balancing sustainable practices, community support and cultural understanding with first-class, nature-based visitor experiences.
Awarded by Ecotourism Australia, our ECO Destination certification is more than a certificate. For visitors, it’s a green tick of approval, giving peace of mind that your holiday is not only good for you, but good for the environment too. It takes the hard work out of finding authentic and sustainable ecotourism and naturebased experiences.
The Coffs Coast is geographically unique, being the only place in NSW where the Great Dividing Range meets the Pacific Ocean. The region is also home to the Solitary Islands Marine Park, abundant in tropical and sub-tropical marine life, plentiful in nature reserves, rich in flora and fauna and boasting sites of great significance to the Gumbaynggirr People.
As you discover all the beautiful corners of the Co s Coast, please be mindful of conservation and preservation. By being a responsible traveller, you help keep the many pristine places we share intact for generations to come.
From beach to bush, hinterland to harbour, we invite you to connect deeply, tread lightly… and discover our place of plenty.
