It is time again to clean out the garage, storage spaces and get rid unwanted and unused items. Residents of Circle Pines (I.D. required) can bring all materials that is disposed of on regular garbage days with the exception of curbside recyclables, hazardous waste and yard waste.

ELECTRONICS: laptop, tablet or notebook computer; server; computer cable; cell phone or home phone; any size television, residential printer, scanner, satellite receiver, power supply, stereo component, boom box, speakers, battery backup, fax machine, typewriter, VCR, DVD, DVR, modem or router, flourescent light fixture or ballast.
LARGE APPLIANCES: dehumidifier, dishwasher, dryer, freezer, furnace, garbage disposal, humidifier, microwave oven, refrigerator, stove, trash compactor, washer, water cooler, water heater (empty), water softener (empty), vacuum, air conditioner (window).
SMALL APPLIANCES: coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven, air fryer, mixer, blender, iron, floor fan, portable sewing machine, hand-held and rechargeable vacuum.
GARBAGE

AUTOMOTIVE ITEMS: antifreeze; used oil (in 3-gallon or less container); oil filters; scrap metal (non-metal removed); motor vehicle batteries, tires (on or off rim).
SHREDDING: A shredding company will be present to shred residential documents containing personal information and records. Items will be shredded in bulk as loads accumulate.
Bulbs
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS: bicycle; household batteries; mattress or box spring, crib mattress, hand-held or rechargeable tools, propane cylinders (empty), fire extinguishers, grill (propane tank removed), mowers (riding or push), ice auger or snow blower - all with oil and gas removed, exercise equipment (motorized or nonmotorized).
Donations
We will be collecting eyeglasses, hearing aids and sunglasses for the Minnesota Lions. In addition, we’ll also collect nonperishable food items for the Centennial Community Food Shelf.

Curbside Organics Curbside Yard Waste
Circle Pines residents may subscribe to an optional cart service for weekly curbside disposal of yard waste. The service runs mid-April through mid-November and includes use of a 96-gallon yard waste cart on wheels.

Cost for the service is $95 annually, nonrefundable, and covers one season only. The annual subscription fee is billed directly to your utility account.
Unlimited weekly pickup of yard waste will take place on Fridays. Additional yard waste that does not fit into the cart may be placed in a compostable or paper bag beside the yard waste container for no additional fee. Residents may also add additional yard waste carts for a charge of $35 each.
All acceptable yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, garden waste and tree trimmings) should be mixed together inside the cart with the cart placed at least three feet from the trash cart.

Circle Pines offers curbside organics recycling as part of its year-round weekly service to customers.
Cost for the program is $7.50 per month and will be added to your regular utility bill. Subscribers receive a 36-gallon cart to be placed curbside on regular garbage pickup days. COMPOSTABLE ITEMS:
fruits & vegetables, meat, fish & bones, eggs & egg shells, dairy products, bread & cereal, nuts & shells, pasta, beans & rice, coffee grounds & paper filters, paper towels, napkins & tissues, tea bags, egg cartons (stickers removed), pizza delivery boxes (stickers removed), houseplant trimmings & flowers, wooden chopsticks, popsicle sticks & toothpicks, certified compostable containers & utensils with the BPI logo.
Please place containers at curb by 6 a.m. with the lid opening toward the street and a minimum of 3 feet between each container and other objects.
