Glenn Borgard named Citizen of Year for 2014 During the biannual Chesterfield Citizens Volunteer Recognition Dinner held on March 18, Mayor Bob Nation announced that Glenn Borgard was chosen as the 2014 Chesterfield Citizen of the Year. Having lived in Chesterfield for 35 years, Glenn has seen a great deal of change over the years, including being an integral part of the recovery after the flood of 1993. story continues on page 4»

Fourth of July weekend packed with music, fireworks and festivities patriotic events Free planned for the holiday weekend. Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with two exciting patriotic events in Chesterfield. The Chesterfield Amphitheater will host the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America on Thursday, July 2 at 6:30 p.m. The Band of Mid-America will present an exciting performance that will serve to instill patriotism. The unit strives to inspire the hearts and minds of our men and women serving around the world and to tell the Air Force story through the universal language of music. This concert is free to the public and is the finale to the new Orchestra Music Series. To celebrate the Fourth of July, we will have our annual Fireworks Celebration that has grown to be the biggest and best fireworks show in the metro area. The event is presented by the City of Chesterfield and Renewal by Anderson and sponsored in part by Sachs Properties and Chesterfield Mall. The main viewing area will be in the west parking lot near Dillard’s and Macy’s at Chesterfield Mall. The Main Stage will present a FREE concert starting at 7 p.m. featuring Dogs of Society, an Elton John tribute band. Enjoy listening and dancing to the music until the fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m. The Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center will be open until 10 p.m. for fireworks and family fun. story continues on page 4»
