Welcome to the City of Charles Sturt, home to 105 diverse cultures that have made our City a vibrant and dynamic community unlike any other in South Australia. We pride ourselves on being a city for all people; wherever you are from, you are home. A city where people feel safe, included, and connected to others.

Whether you are new to our City, have recently moved or have lived here for some time, I trust that this information will provide you with an insight into the services that are available to you as a resident in our City. KAURNA ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Waste and Recycling Bin Collection

Households can have up to 2 at-call hard waste collections per financial year.

Kitchen Caddy

We provide a free Kitchen Caddy and compostable bags for you to recycle your food scraps easily. You can get one delivered or collect it from our Civic Centre or our libraries.

Dogs & Cats

Dogs and Cats must be microchipped and desexed, unless you have a special exemption.

All dogs and cats must be registered. If you have moved address, you must update your registration details within 14 days.

Community Connections

Ageing Well

We have services to support people that are aged and those who care for others. Services such as spring cleaning, shopping support, basic home maintenance, social activities, transport and respite are available for eligible residents within the City of Charles Sturt.

Libraries and Community Centres

Library membership is free. You can join a library online or in-person at one of our five library branches.

If you already have a One Card, you do not need to join. You can use your One Card at any library in the Libraries SA network.

Your rates help us deliver a wide range of services to benefit you and the wider community.

Payments can easily be made online via our website, as well as the ability to:

• view your current rates balance

• update your property details

• explore and set up different payment methods, this includes Ezybill

Ezybill makes it convenient for you to manage your rates notices online, to sign up and start receiving your rates via email visit our website.

Hall and Reserve Hire

We have a range of community spaces available, which includes venues and reserves, for your community group or event. Prices and availability and bookings can be found on our website.

Justice of the Peace

Our Justice of the Peace service is provided by volunteers and times are subject to their availability. Please check our website which is updated daily with any cancellations or changes.

Immunisation

We’re committed to the health and wellbeing of our community. Immunisation is a quick, safe and effective way to keep you and your family protected from disease.

Our Immunisation Clinic is located within the St Clair Recreation Centre at 109 Woodville Road, Woodville. The clinic is open for pre-booked appointments only.

Community Magazine

Kaleidoscope is our printed quarterly magazine. Inside you’ll find articles, stories, council information and photos from across our vibrant community. Magazines are delivered free to residents and are also available at our Civic Centre, libraries, community centres and online.
