Old MacDonald’s Farm

Bever Park

2700 Bever Park SE

Located in Bever Park on the southeast side of Cedar Rapids, Old MacDonald’s Farm is a free petting farm where visitors can meet farm animals and North American waterfowl. Once part of the former Bever Park Zoo, this beloved local landmark continues to be a favorite place for all ages to explore, learn, and enjoy a little farm life in the city.

Goat Yoga Parties

Need to let go and escape the usual routine with friends, colleagues, or family? A goat yoga party is a fun and memorable way to do just that. Parties for ages 13 and up are available June through August. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.

Birthday Parties

Celebrate a birthday at Old MacDonald’s Farm with a two-hour party filled with animals and hands-on fun. Parties are available May – September between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The first hour includes a guided farm tour with a party host, giving kids the chance to get up close with the animals and help feed them. The second hour is free time at the pavilion near the duck exhibit for your group to celebrate with cake and snacks you bring. The birthday child also receives a special gift. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.

Group Tours

One-hour guided and unguided group tours at Old MacDonald’s Farm are available by appointment only for all groups, including schools and daycares. Tours take place weekdays between 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., and offer hands-on time with the animals and a closer look at life on the farm.
