2024 Parks, Recreation, Facilities and Open Space Master Plan Adopted

The 2024 Parks, Recreation, Facilities and Open Space Master Plan was unanimously approved by City Council as a guiding document for the future. This comprehensive plan outlines priority recommendations for future park and facility development, as well as community events and programs. The adoption of this plan marks a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life for Cedar Park residents by ensuring sustainable and strategic growth of our parks and recreational facilities and open spaces.
We express our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed their valuable feedback during the development of this plan. Your input was crucial in shaping a vision that reflects the community's needs and aspirations.
We are excited to embark on this journey and look forward to the positive impact this plan will have on our community.

Bell Park Now Open: A New Community Gathering Place
The City of Cedar Park is thrilled to announce the official opening of Bell Park. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held the morning of December 12, 2024, to welcome residents and community members to the substantially completed park featuring new amenities, opportunities to experience the outdoors and moments to create lasting memories.
Bell Park encompasses approximately 15 acres along Cluck Creek and sits adjacent to the new Cedar Park Public Library. The park has been thoughtfully designed in coordination with the Bell District, including the City’s new Library and the Backyard space, led by the District’s master developer, RedLeaf.

The park serves as a new gathering place including a pavilion, accessible seating arrangements such as picnic tables and natural stone, eye-catching art installations, and convenient public restrooms. The highlight is Belle, a delightful 23-ft bird play structure that adds a whimsical touch to the natural surroundings. The project also includes approximately 4,000 linear feet of new trail, soon to be fully opened, with about 3,700 linear feet being a concrete shared-use path. This path will seamlessly connect neighborhoods west of the Bell District to Bell Boulevard, integrating into the City’s expanding trail network.

Find out more about park projects online at cedarparktexas.gov/440/Parks or scan here to visit the project update page.
