2024 Parks, Recreation, Facilities and Open Space Master Plan Adopted

The 2024 Parks, Recreation, Facilities and Open Space Master Plan was unanimously approved by City Council as a guiding document for the future. This comprehensive plan outlines priority recommendations for future park and facility development, as well as community events and programs. The adoption of this plan marks a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life for Cedar Park residents by ensuring sustainable and strategic growth of our parks and recreational facilities and open spaces.

We express our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed their valuable feedback during the development of this plan. Your input was crucial in shaping a vision that reflects the community's needs and aspirations.

We are excited to embark on this journey and look forward to the positive impact this plan will have on our community.

Brushy Creek North Fork Trail Now Open!

The City of Cedar Park announced the grand opening of the much-anticipated Brushy Creek North Fork Trail earlier this year. This milestone marks the culmination of a multi-year project that has brought together various partners and the community to create a scenic and recreational asset for Cedar Park residents and visitors.

The Brushy Creek North Fork Trail spans approximately three miles, starting near West Parmer Lane and East Whitestone Boulevard. The trail features an 8-foot to 10-foot-wide concrete shared-use path along the north fork of Brushy Creek Road. Extending south, it connects to the existing Brushy Creek Regional Trail near Brushy Creek Road, integrating into the larger regional trail system.

The Brushy Creek North Fork Trail is set to become a cherished part of the Cedar Park community, offering a beautiful space for outdoor recreation and connection with nature.

Find out more about park projects online at cedarparktexas.gov/440/Parks or scan here to visit the project update page.
