PROGRAM REGISTRATION The Community Services Department offers online and in-person registration. To ensure accuracy, call-in registration is not allowed. Through the Opportunity for Every Child Scholarship program, participants requesting financial assistance are eligible for up to a fifty percent reduced rate on youth programs. Registration must be completed at the front desk of the CRC to request financial assistance.

Drop-in Activities The court schedule is posted outside the gymnasium each month or visit our website for up-to-date information: www.casagrandeaz.gov/crc. Drop-in Activities: CRC offers adult drop-in activities such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, pickleball, and family rec court. Pickleball roundrobin is limited and requires advance registration. Play and move each night with a different drop-in activity! CRC-Teen Court: The court is dedicated to teens (ages 11-17) during CRC-Teen time. Unaccompanied children ages 11-17 must have a membership or can pay the daily rate with an annual guest waiver form on file. Weight Training for Youth: Every Monday and Wednesday from 4-5:30 pm is reserved for teens ages 13 to 17. Focus of this activity is for teens to get familiar and comfortable with various strength training exercises for major muscle groups. The activity will be supervised by CRC staff, thus teens ages 13 to 17 can come work out without their parent/guardian. *NOTE: Participants must complete the youth fitness orientation with Maria Gil on their first visit or email fitbymari@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

Membership Benefits Membership to the CRC includes unlimited usage, group fitness classes, drop-in activities, fitness consultation, discount on programs offered at the CRC, 20% discount on CRC room rentals, and a season swim pass to the Palm Island Aquatic Center (open seasonally May-September).

Membership Types Family: Up to two adults and any of their dependent children under eighteen years old living in the same household. Dependent children shall also include foreign exchange students and foster children living in the same household, as well as children eighteen and over who are enrolled in high school or college, living in the same household or if in college, who claim the household as their primary residence Couple: Up to two individuals living in the same household. Additional individuals residing in the same household may be added to the Couple membership at an additional fee of $5 per month, per person. Senior Couple: Individual age 50 or above and one other person living in the same household. Additional individuals residing in the same household may be added to the Senior Couple membership at an additional fee of $5 per month, per person. Adult: Individuals between the ages of 18 and 49. Senior: Individual age 50 or above. Youth: Individual age 17 and under. Add-on: Non-dependent permanently living in the same household. Family, Couple, and Senior Couple memberships are eligible for an add-on.

Guest Waiver Forms Now stored on file for one year! Minors are no longer allowed to sign a waiver form. Unaccompanied minors paying an entry fee will need to have an annual waiver form on file. Annual guest waiver forms must be completed at the front desk by a legal guardian.

Unaccompanied Minor Policies for Members & Guests Minors accompanied by an adult may check-in or pay an entry fee and enter under the accompanying adult's responsibility (age restrictions per facility amenity or program apply). Unaccompanied children, ages 16-17, must have a membership or an annual guest waiver form on file and are eligible to use the first and second floor of the Community Recreation Center. Unaccompanied children, ages 11-15, must have a membership or an annual guest waiver form on file and may attend the Boys & Girls Club Teen Center (No Fee), the CRC – Teen Gym (membership or day fee required), or an instructor-led program. Unaccompanied children, age 10 and younger, are not allowed unless accompanied by an adult or attending an instructor-led program. Minors ages 11-17 must wear a wristband during each visit. FITNESS SERVICES A variety of fitness services are included with your membership and provided by our certified personal trainer, Maria Gil. For scheduling email Maria at fitbymari@gmail.com

Fitness Consultation Determine your physical fitness level with a free health/fitness assessment.

Equipment Orientation Gives any patron of the facility a chance to get familiar with our Matrix equipment. Demonstration of all machines to show proper use and equipment adjustment.

Complementary Personal Training Maria Gil, our contracted personal trainer will conduct a complementary 30-minute session to help you learn how to create your own program and give you an introduction to personal training services.

Personal Training Paid Packages Maria offers personal training packages, including nutrition consultation, stretching and foam rolling packages/sessions.

PARTY AND EVENT ROOM RENTALS The CRC has a room for your next birthday party, baby shower, family gatherings, banquet, or event. Rooms are rented by event package and size. All reservations include room, access to the prep kitchen. Parties have access to a gymnasium, open lawn, and tables/chairs. Classroom

Event Descriptions Meeting: Room for discussion or presentation. Decorating not allowed. Audio/Video available in community rooms, video only in classrooms. Selling items to the public, religious services, or political campaigns is prohibited. Classroom includes 30m setup & 30m cleanup. Community Room includes 45m setup / 30m cleanup. Party: Includes room and shared space of gym, open lawn, and activity room (if available). Any event with alcohol is considered a party or banquet. Includes 45m before for setup, 30m after for cleanup. Banquet: An event with over 100 guests and can be held in the community room. Banquet rentals include all benefits of a party rental, ninety minutes before the event for setup and sixty minutes after for cleanup.


The Dorothy Powell Senior Center operates with the coordination of multi-purpose services and programs, for a person living independently or with families within the City of Casa Grande and the surrounding communities. The Senior Center serves individuals aged 50 years or older in order to promote independence, personal enrichment and an enhanced quality of life. The Dorothy Powell Senior Center provides residents the opportunity to experience recreational, cultural and educational programing in a friendly atmosphere. All activities are held at the Dorothy Powell Senior Adult Center.

Lunch Program (Congregate Meals) The Dorothy Powell Senior Center offers a nutritiously balanced meal to seniors 50 years of age or older. Family members are also welcomed to come and join seniors for lunch. For individuals 60 years of age or older the suggested donation for lunch is $4. For individuals 50-59 years of age, lunch is $6. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM Transportation

The Dorothy Powell Senior Center provides transportation services to/from the center. Transportation is available to seniors ages 50 and older. It is $3 per stop for seniors 50-59. For individuals 60 and older it is a suggested donation of $3 per stop. Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:45 PM Home Delivered Meals The center provides home-delivered meals to qualified Casa Grande citizens. PARKS Ramada Rentals

Ramadas at Carr McNatt, Dave White, Ed Hooper, North Mountain (A, B, C), O’Neil, Peart, and Villago Park may be reserved online or in-person at the Community Recreation Center no less than seven (7) business days prior to the date of use. Ramadas at Albert Cruz, Burruss, Gilbert, Mosley, North Mountain, Rancho Grande, Rotary, and West park are available on a first come first serve basis. Payment is required at the time of reservation request. Reservations with parties of more than 150 people, may be required to provide a $110 clean-up deposit, liability insurance, and/or Special Event Application. Most ramada’s are equipped with electricity, picnic tables, grill, and play equipment or other amenities.

Fees $25 - four hour minimum required / $6.25 for each additional hour

Inflatables Personally owned inflatables are not permitted in City parks. Park users must use a vendor that has a City of Casa Grande business license and liability insurance. An approved inflatable vendor list is available by contacting the Community Recreation Center.

Elzy Pearson Shooting Range The Elzy Pearson public shooting range features five (5) shooting bays available for free on a first come, first serve basis. Bays can be reserved with a minimum of seven (7) days advance notice. All reservations require general liability insurance. Individuals or Businesses using bays for instructional teaching to the public are required to provide general liability insurance, their business license, a trained range safety officer(s) and must follow all Federal, State, and local firearm laws. ADULT PROGRAMMING HEALTH & FITNESS Diabetes Prevention Program

Healthy for Life

If you have been diagnosed with prediabetes, or are at risk of developing diabetes and need help to prevent Type 2 Diabetes, this program is for you! Join the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension DPP program and learn how to eat healthy, add physical activity to your life, manage stress and stay motivated. Requirement is that a participant cannot have a diagnosis of diabetes already. Classes meet on weekly basis first 2 months, biweekly for the next 4 months, and once a week for the last 6 months of the program. (SIC)

"Healthy for Life" is a 6-week nutrition education program offered by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension EFNEP program. Come join us as we learn and have fun with physical activities and recipe demonstrations as part of our "Healthy for Life" program.(SIC)

Spring Celebration 2022 The Spring Equinox has been honored as a celebration of life and renewal. Enjoy an outdoor walking meditation followed by a "Fire and Ice" yoga practice offering both traditional Hatha Yoga finishing with Yin Yoga. Sunset Yoga

How to Play Piano by Ear

Come and enjoy a beautiful sunset at the Community Recreation Center! This is a FREE Yoga class taught by CRC Group Fitness Instructors. Whether you're brand new to yoga, or an experienced practitioner, this one hour class is a great way to enter the New Year with a breath of fresh air. Participants should dress comfortably, bring water as well as a towel or mat. Namaste, Yogis!

Learn one of music's deepest mysteries: how to play songs without relying on music. A very practical presentation of music theory that includes predicting chord progressions, learning from recordings, and transposing-all expressed in everyday language. This is an ideal follow-up to the Instant Piano class and is open to anyone who has a basic understanding of chords on any instrument. (SIC)

YOUTH PROGRAMMING The “Opportunity for Every Child (OEC)” creates scholarship opportunities for households of need that cover up to fifty percent of the registration fees for youth programs offered through the Community Services Department. The Community Services Department has over 3,000 participants annually enjoy our recreation programs. Through the Opportunity for Every Child Scholarship program, participants requesting financial assistance are eligible for up to a fifty percent reduced rate on youth programs. Registration must be completed at the front desk of the CRC to request financial assistance.

Folklorico Dance

Children will be taught a variety of dance moves in this week long cheer camp class. Classes will begin with stretching and warm ups leading into a combination of cheer basics and dance choreography. Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. (SIC)

Encourage your child's creativity by making a simple craft together. All materials are provided by the library. Crafts will take 15 to 20 minutes to complete, drop-in anytime between the designated time.

Youth ages 6-12 can enjoy a variety of video games and board games. Parents are required for children under the age of 12.

Kid's Makerspace Class Vista Grande | Tuesdays | 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Something different for kids every Tuesday at your Vista Grande Public Library Makerspace. Art classes, building days, and more! Program is intended for kids ages 6-12. Children under the age of 12 must have a parent present in the library. Class will be capped at 10 children and registration is encouraged. To reserve a spot please call (520) 421-8652.

The Day the Crayon's Quit Scavenger Hunt 1/4-1/31 | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Crayons are not ready to go back to school! They have decided to spend the rest of winter break at the library. Help us track down all of your favorite missing crayons, like blue, pink, and green as they hide in between our library shelves. This fun scavenger hunt is geared towards kids of all ages and will run daily through the month of January.

Join TAB, The Teen Activities Board at the Vista Grande Library. We meet once a month and are in charge of planning After Hours Events at the library for teens. You can also earn volunteer hours for coming and helping at the event. Intended for high school aged students, grades 9-12

Catfish Rodeo RETURNS!

One of the longest standing and most popular outdoor events in the City of Casa Grande, the 41st Annual Catfish Rodeo is set to return in-person at Dave White Pond as youth ages 15 and under compete for the biggest catch! Prizes awarded in various categories.

SATURDAY APRIL 30 Dave White Park 6:00 am - 10:00 am Free and open to youth 15 and under. Bring your own tackle and fishing pole! The city provides the fishing license for participating youth

Spring Citywide Clean Up Adopt-a-street and participate in the Keep Casa Grande Clean & Beautiful fall cleanup from 7:00 am 11:00 am. Cleanup supplies and safety vests are provided for all participants.
