PROGRAM REGISTRATION The Community Services Department offers online and in-person registration. To ensure accuracy, call-in registration is not allowed. Through the Opportunity for Every Child Scholarship program, participants requesting financial assistance are eligible for up to a fifty percent reduced rate on youth programs. Registration must be completed at the front desk of the CRC to request financial assistance.

The “Opportunity for Every Child (OEC)” creates scholarship opportunities for households of need that cover up to fifty percent of the registration fees for youth programs offered through the Community Services Department. The Community Services Department has over 3,000 participants annually enjoy our recreation programs. Through the Opportunity for Every Child Scholarship program, participants requesting financial assistance are eligible for up to a fifty percent reduced rate on youth programs. Drop-in Activities: CRC offers adult drop-in activities such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, pickleball, and family rec court. Pickleball roundrobin is limited and requires advance registration. Play and move each night with a different drop-in activity!

CRC-Teen Court: The court is dedicated to teens (ages 11-17) during CRC-Teen time. Unaccompanied children ages 11-17 must have a membership or can pay the daily rate with an annual guest waiver form on file.

Weight Training for Youth: Every Monday and Wednesday from 4-5:30 pm is reserved for teens ages 13 to 17. Focus of this activity is for teens to get familiar and comfortable with various strength training exercises for major muscle groups. The activity will be supervised by CRC staff, thus teens ages 13 to 17 can come work out without their parent/guardian. *NOTE: Participants must complete the youth fitness orientation with Maria Gil on their first visit or email fitbymari@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

Membership Benefits Membership to the CRC includes unlimited usage, group fitness classes, drop-in activities, fitness consultation, discount on programs offered at the CRC, 20% discount on CRC room rentals, and a season swim pass to the Palm Island Aquatic Center (open seasonally May-September).

Membership Types Family: Up to two adults and any of their dependent children under eighteen years old living in the same household. Dependent children shall also include foreign exchange students and foster children living in the same household, as well as children eighteen and over who are enrolled in high school or college, living in the same household or if in college, who claim the household as their primary residence Couple: Up to two individuals living in the same household. Additional individuals residing in the same household may be added to the Couple membership at an additional fee of $5 per month, per person. Senior Couple: Individual age 50 or above and one other person living in the same household. Additional individuals residing in the same household may be added to the Senior Couple membership at an additional fee of $5 per month, per person. Adult: Individuals between the ages of 18 and 49. Senior: Individual age 50 or above. Youth: Individual age 17 and under. Add-on: Non-dependent permanently living in the same household. Family, Couple, and Senior Couple memberships are eligible for an add-on.

Guest Waiver Forms Now stored on file for one year! Minors are no longer allowed to sign a waiver form. Unaccompanied minors paying an entry fee will need to have an annual waiver form on file. Annual guest waiver forms must be completed at the front desk by a legal guardian.

Unaccompanied Minor Policies for Members & Guests Minors accompanied by an adult may check-in or pay an entry fee and enter under the accompanying adult's responsibility (age restrictions per facility amenity or program apply). Unaccompanied children, ages 16-17, must have a membership or an annual guest waiver form on file and are eligible to use the first and second floor of the Community Recreation Center. Unaccompanied children, ages 11-15, must have a membership or an annual guest waiver form on file and may attend the Boys & Girls Club Teen Center (No Fee), the CRC – Teen Gym (membership or day fee required), or an instructor-led program. Unaccompanied children, age 10 and younger, are not allowed unless accompanied by an adult or attending an instructor-led program. Minors ages 11-17 must wear a wristband during each visit. Fitness Consultation Determine your physical fitness level with a free health/fitness assessment.

Equipment Orientation Gives any patron of the facility a chance to get familiar with our Matrix equipment. Demonstration of all machines to show proper use and equipment adjustment.

Complementary Personal Training Maria Gil, our contracted personal trainer will conduct a complementary 30-minute session to help you learn how to create your own program and give you an introduction to personal training services.

Personal Training Paid Packages Maria offers personal training packages, including nutrition consultation, stretching and foam rolling packages/sessions.

PARTY AND EVENT ROOM RENTALS The CRC has a room for your next birthday party, baby shower, family gatherings, banquet, or event. Rooms are rented by event package and size. All reservations include room, access to the prep kitchen. Parties have access to a gymnasium, open lawn, and tables/chairs. Classroom

The City of Casa Grande has a new, streamlined swim lesson registration process. Simply enroll your child in the session dates and times, based on your child's age, and our talented team will do the rest! On the first day, certified Swim Lesson Instructors will perform swim testing on each participant; assessing swimming abilities based on the StarGuard Skills Assessment test. Your child will then be placed in the appropriate class, with similarly skilled children.

PLEASE ENSURE THE CHILD ATTENDS THE FIRST DAY OF SWIM SKILLS TESTING All classes will maintain an instructor to six participant ratio and will be 30 minutes in length. Please note: In some cases, your child may be the only one in that level at that pool and may need to be moved so we can accommodate a larger group. Registration closes 5 days before the session; once registration closes participants can be enrolled on a waitlist. Cost: $15 per participant; scholarship assistance is available and requires registration at the front desk of the Community Recreation Center

AQUATICS Recreation Swim Team

Aqua Aerobics

Summer recreation swim team allows your child to learn and improve stroke technique, increase fitness, and socialize in a positive team as setting. Join the Casa Grande Geckos rec swim team and participate in 45 min to 1-hour practices 4 days a week. The Geckos are part of the East Valley Recreation Swim League, which provide participants the option to compete in swim meets. Participants will receive a t-shirt, and a swim team letter with meet information, once the program starts. Children ages 6 - 17 years old who are proficient in the four basic strokes are eligible to participate on this recreational swim team.Prerequisite: Minimum ability to complete all lead up skills to Stroke School Manta Ray. (Swim freestyle 25 yards; swim backstroke 25 yards; swim 15 yards butterfly; swim 25 yards breaststroke; perform freestyle and backstroke flip turns and butterfly and breaststroke open turns.)Focus: race starts, flip turns, stroke improvement, endurance, introduction to competitive swimming, lifetime water fitness.

This class is designed for those who would like a good cardio and conditioning workout with less stress on the knees, ankles and legs.Class is included as part of group fitness with Community Recreation Center Membership. PARKS Ramada Rentals

Ramadas at Carr McNatt, Dave White, Ed Hooper, North Mountain (A, B, C), O’Neil, Peart, and Villago Park may be reserved online or in-person at the Community Recreation Center no less than seven (7) business days prior to the date of use. Ramadas at Albert Cruz, Burruss, Gilbert, Mosley, North Mountain, Rancho Grande, Rotary, and West park are available on a first come first serve basis. Payment is required at the time of reservation request. Reservations with parties of more than 150 people, may be required to provide a $110 clean-up deposit, liability insurance, and/or Special Event Application. Most ramada’s are equipped with electricity, picnic tables, grill, and play equipment or other amenities.

$25 - four hour minimum required / $6.25 for each additional hour

Personally owned inflatables are not permitted in City parks. Park users must use a vendor that has a City of Casa Grande business license and liability insurance. An approved inflatable vendor list is available by contacting the Community Recreation Center.

Elzy Pearson Shooting Range The Elzy Pearson public shooting range features five (5) shooting bays available for free on a first come, first serve basis. Bays can be reserved with a minimum of seven (7) days advance notice. All reservations require general liability insurance. Individuals or Businesses using bays for instructional teaching to the public are required to provide general liability insurance, their business license, a trained range safety officer(s) and must follow all Federal, State, and local firearm laws. Hours: 7:00 am – Dusk

Art Daze

Cheer Camp (5-9 Years Old)

Explore your creative side in this all inclusive art class. Painting, drawing, coloring, creating, etc. A different project will be done each day.

Children will be taught a variety of dance moves in this week long cheer camp class. Classes will begin with stretching and warm ups leading into a combination of cheer basics and dance choreography. Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. (SIC)

DANCE Ballet

Spectrum Movement & Dance - Intermediate/Advanced

Ballet is the foundation of dance and a perfect place to start your young dancer. This class is an introduction to ballet with a focus on; techniques, flexibility, strength, and fun! Dress code: leotards, tights and ballet shoes are recommended, but not required. (SIC)

This program is for special needs youth. Prior to the beginning of the class, instructor will meet with students and parents for the initial evaluation. It is important that each student is placed according to their own individual abilities and limitations. Physical exercise has a therapeutic effect on the entire person-physically, emotinally, psychologically and spiritually. "The Malakan Method" is tailored to address balance and coordination, along with posture deviation, flexibility, and strength. (SIC)
